Galaxy S4: thinner, lighter and arrives in Brazil on April 26

The format may even be very similar to the previous model, but in terms of content, what a difference. O Galaxy S4 achieved what many doubted: it has a larger screen and at the same time is thinner and lighter.

The smartphone presentation started with a little delay and lasted almost 1 hour. The theater in New York was packed with people curious to see what's new with the S4. Dual camera, 5-inch screen, 13-megapixel main camera… See what's changed:

Fabric

Samsung continues to bet on bigger and bigger screens. The S4 has 5 inches with a Super AMOLED screen, Full HD (441 PPI). Despite the increase in screen, the size of the device remains practically the same.

Dual Camera

The smartphone comes equipped with 2 cameras. The front has 2 megapixels of resolution. The rear went to 13 megapixels. It is possible to photograph and film with both cameras at the same time!

Battery

With a 5″ screen, it takes a powerful battery. Samsung kept the removable battery system for those who use the device a lot but don't have time to stay plugged in and recharge. The battery has 2600 mAh.

Processor

Samsung Exynos 5 or Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro according to region (Samsung did not disclose which).

Features

The screen Galaxy S4 it is sensitive to the touch even for those who wear gloves. It also comes with a translation system – S Translator, a voice service that understands Brazilian Portuguese and other languages. It has an infrared sensor and can be used as a remote control for TV's. Samsung also didn't mess with the smartphone's finish, which is made of polycarbonate. There are two color options: black and white. Good news is that the device will be compatible with all existing 4G LTE frequencies, that is, it will work on the Brazilian 4G network.

Samsung officially abandoned the Roman nomenclature and started using Galaxy S4 to replace the SIII. The smartphone will be launched simultaneously in 155 countries at the end of April and the Brazil it's on the list.
