Galaxy Buds2 Pro is Samsung's new premium headset

In 2021 the Samsung launched two models of headphones: the Galaxy Buds Pro, at the beginning of the year, and the Galaxy Buds2, in December. After a break, the first half of August 2022 brings the new and long-awaited model Galaxy Buds2 Pro, which will take over as the company's top-of-the-line headphones.

Design

What immediately catches our attention in the design is the change in relation to the color of the cases. In the previous version, the Galaxy Buds2 always came with the outside of the case in white and only the inside was colored, matching the color of the headphones, in the case of the Graphite (black) and Bora Purple (violet) headphones. The two colors are still available, in addition to the classic white, but with a novelty.

Now, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro have your house all colorful – outside and inside. There are also few details on the headphones in lighter tones, without clashing with the main color, giving a more minimalist appearance and matching the aesthetics of the other products released at Galaxy Unpacked 2022.

In terms of size, the phone is 15% smaller, providing more comfort in use. Holes were included at strategic points for ventilation, preventing the creation of an internal vacuum.

Connectivity and well-being

Equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 technology, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro It is compatible with any device running Android 8.0 or higher and 1,5 GB of RAM. Samsung HiFi Codec enables the most faithful transmission of 24-bit sound. Samsung reinforces that it is possible to use it with devices from other brands, but the compatibility with devices of its own brand is superior and can be noticed in the speed to connect, for example.

In addition to providing more immersion in the audio, the headphone sensors also provide more practicality and health care. That's because they easily connect to other branded products, such as smart TVs Samsung, and switch the connection as needed. You can watch TV using your Galaxy Buds2 Pro and, with a ring on the handset, answer a call on the cell phone that arrives at the same time and then return to programming with a new ring.

It is also equipped with a sensor that warns the user about excessive time looking down, working or reading, for example, and suggests a brief pause, change of position, or stretching to preserve the neck.

Enhancing the technology already used in the first Galaxy Buds Pro, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro features 24-bit high-fidelity (Hi-Fi) sound and advanced intelligent noise cancellation—can switch between modes ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and the mode Ambient sound.

Basically, the ANC mode captures external sounds that go beyond the isolation of the headphones and cancels them out by emitting opposite signals, offering a better listening experience. immersive sound. In contrast, Ambient Sound mode lets you control the volume on each earbud — left and right — so external sound can reach your ears even while using the Galaxy Buds2 Pro.

The way advanced smart balances both: if in ANC mode, it understands when you start talking and goes into Ambient mode to enable better communication with those around you without having to take off your headphones.

With coaxial speaker (1 tweeter + 1 woofer), Galaxy Buds2 Pro promises balance and harmony between bass and treble frequencies. The model also supports audio in 360 Graus, Also known as spatial audio.

Battery and autonomy

Battery life varies depending on the settings used. with ANC mode activated, Samsung estimates that the Galaxy Buds2 Pro work without recharging for 5 hours playing media or 3,5 hours making calls. already with the ANC disabled, autonomy increases to 8 hours with media and 4 hours with calls.

According to the company, a single charge of the case provides between 14 and 29 hours of charge for the headphones, depending on how they are used. Samsung also stressed the importance of always drying your hands and headphones before placing them in the charging case. Although the headphones are water resistant, the case is not, and water with electricity does not work.

Price and availability

The models go on pre-sale on the same date as the event, August 10, in the United States. In Brazil, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and the new smartphones and smartwatches will be released on August 23rd.

The MSRP for the US market is $229. We are still awaiting confirmation of the price for the Brazilian market.
