Game Review: Despicable Me: Minion Rush (iOS)

I confess that I still haven't joined the fashion of mobile games. But there was no book and no wi-fi! I only had the smartphones of children. So what to do? I could only surrender to the fever of Despicable Me: Minion Rush. A game casual Made for iOs e Android that has been produced and is made available for free from Gameloft.

When the kids showed me the game I thought: my God! What a silly game, chasing bananas? Where have you seen yourself?

Well… I started my experience on an iPhone 4S and then found myself at home downloading the game on Play and then on the iPad. And I'm now at dawn trying to beat the record of my Facebook friends.

Introduction and objective

Well… the object of the game is to be the minion of the year. In other words, being the baddest of the year. For that, you must do as many mischiefs, I mean, as many points as possible!

wickedness: push other minions, win the battles of VectorMhey, El macho, destroy objects, are some examples. Wickedness increases your evil multiplier which in turn increases your points.

Coins and Facebook: you start with 50 coins and currently you get 100 more coins if you connect to Facebook¹. In addition, you can earn up to 05 coins daily, they appear in races. Ahh, you also earn coins by unlocking achievements.

Bananas: collect the bananas! They increase your points and can even be exchanged in the store.

Quests: missions permanently increase your evil multiplier. You don't need to complete the quests in the order they appear.

Interface, graphics, gameplay and integration with social networks. 

Well done graphics, friendly and intuitive interface, easy gameplay. In the old days, I would say this was the recipe for success. Today I believe that is not enough. What is missing then? Integration with your social networks! With your friends! It's not enough to beat your record, it's important to beat the Facebook buddy's record! And the game does not disappoint in this regard! When you connect the game to your Facebook, it shows you the list of your friends who play and are synced with Face, in addition to their respective records. There is still the option to send challenges to acquaintances =). I loved!

Difficulty

Hmm… are you sure it's easy to play? Yea! Right at the beginning of the game, when you start to run, instructions are given and at no time do you not know what to do. During the game also appear hints. The hard part is to beat the friends' records and that's what makes the game more attractive, at least for me. I, for example, am trying to beat my little friend Jansen's record of just 1.305.544 points! Speaks seriously? He can only be "cheater".

I tested it on both platforms. Both perform excellently.

I also tested the integration of accounts. I started on Android and went to iOS: I lost everything, I had to start from scratch. But the reverse didn't happen: I left iOS and went back to Android and it synced beautifully in the cloud. It was probably bios¹.

Audio

The music is good, it matches the game perfectly. The effects are also well done and the “talking” minions are awesome. And if you don't like the music or the effects, you can disable both or just one of them.
