The Walking Dead It's an incredibly successful franchise. It started modestly in 2003 with the launch of the first HQ and since then it hasn't stopped. turned TV series, books and games for video games and mobile devices.
Introduction
Walking Dead: Road to Survival is a free to play turn-based RPG (free-to-play), with purchases in-app, is played online, with missions against the computer and player-versus-player missions, developed by Pair Mobile Entertainment and published in August of this year (2015) by Scopely. Despite being based on graphic novels namesakes, written by Robert Kirkman, the game brings new elements and characters that have died in the TV series.
History
You are in woodbury, learning to get by there, building houses, warehouses, planting supplies, training survivors and, behold, PhilipBlake arrives at your gates and you let him in. The story begins that way... before Philip became governor.
The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is an intense story game for adults that emulates the constant struggle to survive in a harsh and unforgivable world invaded by walkers cruel and relentless. Difficult decisions to determine who lives or dies must be made and will affect the future unfolding of events in the game's narrative. you will play alongside iconic characters such as Rick, Michonne and the Governor and will be challenged to manage resources, build Woodbury and strengthen their characters, seeking to rescue other survivors and at the same time managing to fend off the onslaught of the undead. (with adaptations)
Interface / Graphics
The interface is simple, friendly and intuitive. The graphics remind us of comic books, giving the impression that we are part of the story created by Robert Kirkman. Therefore, the characters do not look like the ones from the TV series, but rather like the ones from the graphic novel. The description that Road to Survival is a “mature” game is evident by the difficult decisions you will have to make and, in addition, by some cut scenes which are very strong.
Audio
The music adds to your tension during missions along with the sounds of the walkers in the background. At story time the music changes to a sadder tone. It is a good accompaniment to the game, but without deserving greater prominence.
Gameplay
World: are the game's story missions. This is where you will have to make difficult choices, this is where your decisions affect the game's narrative. And believe me, some decisions are hard to live with afterwards. Although it is possible to go back in the early stages of the game, you will no longer be able to change the choice you made. Some choices also yield rewards such as weapons, for example.
Missions: the missions field encompasses the mission of the story that we talked about above, in "World", and also the events. Events can be viewed on the “Route Map”. Currently active events are:

These events are only active for a specific time and you must complete them before the time runs out to get the rewards. These events are also divided in different ways. In "Workshop-Easy“For example, you only need to go through 6 stages to acquire the rewards, and these stages consume little quest energy. Already in Alexandria there is a division into 3 acts and each act is divided into stages and these stages consume a lot of energy, but in return, the rewards are much better.
Daily Missions: actually they are tasks to be accomplished and when completing them you receive different rewards.
Assaults: available from level 6. It's you against other players and luckily the energy used in these matches is different from the energy of the missions. When you are attacked and defeated, you lose some of your food and/or material reserves and reputation points, and this is a good incentive to improve your team and get revenge. It is also possible to avenge members of your faction who were defeated in strikes, the avenged member receives 30% in food and material. There are strike events too where your faction can get rewards, when a strike event is active and you fight another player you get trophies for your victory and they help your team to climb the rankings.
Tips
- get in a faction. There are several open factions with minimum level and reputation requirements. In some missions it is possible to use a faction character as a helper. For those starting out, it's the chance to get a level 30 character, for example. Once a character has been used, it will take a while for it to be used again, but in the meantime you can use other characters from the faction. You also receive rewards if your leader is “hired” for a mission by a member of your faction.
- Note the "traits” from opponents before attacking.
- When your character is high on adrenaline it will turn yellow with the word “adrenaline” above it. Click on “adrenaline” to trigger the power or click on the character to play normally. Each character has a different reaction to adrenaline. The use of adrenaline counts as one round, as if it were a normal attack.
- If you play on an iOS device you get Rick as a gift.
- Level up your characters' adrenaline rush. For this, when leveling up a member of your legion, use characters that are named green.
- Connect to Facebook to save your game progress and play on other devices. This action generates a freebie.

Difficulty
The game is not difficult, but it requires commitment and strategy. Take time out of your day to spend in The Walking Dead: Road to Survival and complete quests, participate in events and don't forget about daily quests. Finding the best way to manage your resources, increase your facilities and level up your characters is a task you can't put off until later. Organize your group and don't forget to choose the best leader for your team. Finally, remember that time is your most valuable resource, so plan ahead.
Cost X benefit
You can download Walking Dead: Road to Survival for free at Apple Store ou na Google Play. The game has very attractive in-app purchases that speed up your progress in the game, but in games of this style with patience and determination you can advance without having to spend.
Replayability/Game Duration
Game length: The sky is the limit. It's that typical game that leaves you addicted for a long time. There are the main missions that are part of the story, there are the PvP raids and there are events that make the game infinite. In addition, you can still go back in stages that have already been completed and believe me: it will often be necessary to go back in early stages to collect materials.
