Gamescon is the main topic of ShowmeCAST 104
On August 23, the Opening Night Live of gamescom 2022, one of the biggest video game events in the world. In this edition, we had a live presentation by the Canadian journalist Geoff keighley, one of the creators and also presenter of the The Games Awards. Among several game announcements and projects related to the games industry, some of the highlights were Dead Island 2, Lies of P and Kojima's new podcast.
Among so many titles that involve space exploration, one that caught the most attention and was unanimous among the participants of this episode, is the Where Winds Meet, a work that escapes the current trend of games, showing some similarities with Ghost of Tsushima. Dragon Ball Super in theaters
We then commented on the surprising success of Dragon Ball Super: Superhero in theaters, which exceeded expectations by $20 million. Here in Brazil, it won first place at the box office on its opening weekend.
Produced by Toei Animation and written by Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama, this is the twenty-first Dragon Ball feature film overall. However, there are some interesting facts about the work: this is the fourth produced with the direct involvement of Toriyama, the second to carry the brand Dragon Ball Super and the very first to be produced using 3D animation. It was released in Japan in April of this year and is now arriving in Western theaters. Thus, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has already recorded a gross of 115 million dollars worldwide.
João watched and recommends the film, mentioning Small as the big highlight, in addition to his former student Gohan. In the film, they embark on a mission to save the world from the newly reformed Red Ribbon Army.
New 5G signal activations
5G technology is the fifth generation of mobile internet with greater range and speed, promising a great revolution in several areas. It started to work on the 22nd in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Vitória, Florianopolis and Palmas. In this way, there are already 12 capitals with technology antennas in operation in the country.
the news is advance for Brazilian mobile telephony, but it's not a big deal for João, who doesn't care much about the internet when he's traveling. For Arthur, the possibility of playing in cloud gaming services, especially on that company lunch break. For Letícia, the novelty is encouraging, as her work routine often involves turning her cell phone into a portable router for several other devices.

Authorization for operators to start operating in the cities mentioned above was anticipated by the Monitoring Group for the Implementation of Solutions for Interference Problems. This implementation offers faster internet, in addition to exponentially decreasing usage problems and network overload.
