GeForce Now finally arrives in Brazil and servers will be equipped with RTX 2080 to generate gameplay

This Wednesday, the 13th, NVIDIA announced that the GeForce Now will officially arrive in Brazil tomorrow, on Thursday, the 14th. The streaming from the tech giant was already in the testing stages, but will now be made available to the general public with a free plan and other subscription options.

What is it?

In development for a good few years by NVIDIA, GeForce Now is yet another streaming to popularize this growing market. Its object is very interesting: to run a good variety of games on a company server and send the gameplay to the user's desktop, notebook or mobile device.

The cool thing is that subscriber machines will be equipped with an RTX 2080 in virtual mode, of course. So we can expect a good graphic quality in the transmission of games. Basically, when using GeForce Now, we're renting a hell of a PC Gamer to run the games.

Plans

However, while there is indeed a free plan for the service, things will be more limited. Players will be able to enjoy sessions of just one hour of gameplay, with a queue, and the graphics will not have recent technologies, such as lighting via Ray Tracing or DLSS 2.0, to scale the resolution and ensure more fluidity.

On the other hand, whoever is willing to open their wallets for this streaming, you will have access to 4 hours of uninterrupted gameplay, without having to wait in line and you will still be able to use the resources of Ray Tracing and DLSS, and consequently higher graphic quality.

Pricing follows a similar line to that offered for xCloud access via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. GeForce Now costs, monthly, R$44,90 on the monthly plan and R$40,50 when closing the semester package.

GeForce Now vs xCloud

Compared to xCloud, its direct competitor, so to speak, NVIDIA's service will only cover those games that you buy in some virtual store, such as Epic Games Store, Steam, Ubisoft Connect, GOG and Origins. However, originally free games, such as Fortnite and Apex Legends, will run free of charge. Microsoft's subscription, on the other hand, is more of a "Netflix of life", as it has a monthly catalog of new games being inserted and removed for the player.
