Models come with the Tensor G5 chip and AI features like Camera Coach, which helps you take better photos in real time. See prices, photos, and specifications.

Ten years have passed since the first Made by Google and today was the day for the big company to present its new smartphones, including the world's first foldable with IP67 certification: the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. As expected, the Google is also investing heavily in AI features as a major differentiator for the line. Learn all the details about the phones at the event presented by Jimmy Fallon.

Tensor G5 Processor

As rumors suggested, the chosen processor for the new smartphones Google is G5 tensioner, which is now produced by TMSC. Test data that reached the internet mentions that it has a CPU 34% faster and it is until 60% better for artificial intelligence tasks carried out directly on the device.

To the line Pixel 9, all processors Tensor used the processors Exynos, Samsung, as a base, which led to the reputation of these chips being considered slow and outdated. This tends to change with the TMSC taking over the entire manufacturing process, now with the processor design completely done by Google, without having the design of a chip Samsung as a basis.

For comparison purposes, the TMSC is known for having a more efficient manufacturing process: in 2021, Samsung was called to manufacture the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and, unfortunately, it became known for being an overheating processor, even experiencing speed throttling. In the middle of the same year, Qualcomm summoned the TMSC to manufacture the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, which has an identical design, but due to the company's manufacturing technique, it has managed to surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, in addition to delivering better battery life and a processor that heats up less during more intensive activities, such as games.

System updates

Following what was adopted since the line Pixel 8, all new Pixel 10 will be updated for seven years, going until the Android 23. The models, together with the Samsung's new foldable smartphones, will be one of the first to have access to Android 16, having the new ones pixel the interface Pixel UI, via Material 3 Expressive, which is focused on minimalism.

End of the physical SIM tray

A major design change was the removal of the physical SIM tray. in three of the four models presented today: to be able to support up to two eSIMs, the Google announced that Pixel 10, Pixel 10Pro e Pixel 10 Pro XL arrive without the physical tray, with only the Pixel 10 Pro Fold having the item available. All models continue to support 5G networks, either via eSIM or physical SIMs.

Innovations in AI

As expected, the Google is increasingly investing in artificial intelligence resources as a major differentiator for smartphones pixel.

Finishing the presentation with a foldable smartphone, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold has high resistance as a major differentiating factor compared to its competitors. As rumors indicated, IP68 certification has been confirmed for the model, making it the first with this support. This puts the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as a waterproof and dust resistant foldable.

Launched in colors Moonstone (a shade of black) and Jade (a shade of light green), the visual changes are more subtle: the model is getting a bit thicker, making it 5,2 mm when unfolded and 10,8 mm when folded. The weight is only one gram higher than last year's model, now weighing 258 grams.

Fabrics
