Google Maps adds functionality to calculate distances between custom points

O Google added a new functionality to Maps (web/desktop): it is now possible to calculate the distance between two or more points on the map. To use, just right-click and select the “Measure Distance” option.

Once this is done, just click on other points on the map and the distance (linear) is automatically calculated, that is, Google Maps will not calculate the distance of the route (car, on foot or public transport) but the distance between the points.

It is still possible to change the position of points, delete measurement points and create new ones.
