GoPro HERO11 hits the market with Mini version in 2022

The CEO and founder of GoPro appeared at the presentation event to remind that the three launches show everything the company has always wanted to show: design, technology, good user experience and a price that is in line with the benefits delivered.

Once again, the service GoPro subscription was mentioned at the event to reinforce that the company wants to make this a real trend; in practice, in addition to having access to exclusive benefits and discounts, camera owners have access to all paid features of the editing application Quik (which belongs to GoPro), as well as unlimited cloud storage at maximum quality.

The new sensor in the GoPro HERO11 line

The 2022 update brings interesting news compared to the 2021 model. The biggest one is that due to the new sensor, it is possible to capture more light and a wider field of view compared to what was placed by GoPro in previous years. The aperture is 1/1,9″.

The company confirms that the new cameras can now capture over a billion colors in 10-bit content. The resolution is one of the highlights: the three new cameras can record video in 5,3K quality (at 60 fps).

Regarding photos, it was confirmed that the HERO11 Black and the Mini variant take photos at 27 MP, a quality that “delivers images as true as what we see in real life”, highlights the company. GoPro. It will also be possible to record videos in 4K quality at 120 fps and 2,7K at 240 fps.

Another gain is the 8:9 aspect ratio that allows better creation of content in a vertical format. The new GoPro cameras of 2022

Instead of launching just one option for photography and video lovers, GoPro decided to innovate and launch not one, not two, but three versions of cameras for its customers. They have the same sensor and functionality, but their focus and size are different. With a compact and intimate design, this model is only four centimeters thick and measures 5 x 5 centimeters in height and width.

The big difference is its front, which does not have the front viewfinder used to adjust the video framing while recording takes place. To justify this, there is a button that activates Bluetooth and allows pairing with a smartphone with Android and iOS. Aimed at those who want to pay little for an action camera, the model records in the same video qualities and takes photos in the same quality as the traditional variant, but it had some changes that made the GoPro managed to lower the price.
