The PC version of the game Grand Theft Auto V arrived with everything. In just one day, the GTA V for PCs now sold over 1 million copies!
The numbers were revealed by the website Steam Spy, which takes data from a limited number of users of the Steam to do a simulation, more or less like in an election poll. IThis means that there is a margin of error, but even so the GTA V must have surpassed the one million unit sales mark for PC. The preview of Steam Spy on the afternoon of 14/04 indicated 1.074.894 game owners, plus or minus 80.049.
O GTA V for consoles was released as one of the most successful games in history, with 11,21 million units sold on the first day alone and earning more than $1 billion in just three days. The numbers of Steam Spy do not mean, however, that the game sold less on PC, as these copies refer only to sales on the platform Steam.
.
Furthermore, the Steam Spy assesses that the reliability of the numbers for newly released games is low, as the data can take a varied amount of days to be updated. According to a tweet from the site, three more days are needed for an accurate assessment of the sales of the GTA V.
What was not mentioned by the site is whether users who pre-purchased the game are included. O GTA V went on pre-sale in January, almost three months ago.
Still, the results are impressive, particularly for a game that's been out for almost two years and has already spanned four platforms. Another interesting number, this official from the Steam, is that the GTA V became the game with the highest number of simultaneous players excluding those of the producer Valve. were more than 300 thousand users taking a walk – and probably a few shots – in Los Santos at the same time, surpassing the 287 player mark in the The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
