For those who are crazy about chocolate, a novelty that promises to be talked about. 3D Systems and US chocolate maker Hersheys's announced a partnership to develop a 3D printer for chocolates and other edibles.
3D Systems says making printers that can print chocolate is a good way to showcase this new technology. Hershey's, on the other hand, sees the partnership as a new possibility for selling products, as it would supply the raw material for the printer.
Current 3D printers only produce objects with plastic and still have a high price. The companies have not yet specified when they will launch the first product together, nor have they given a price estimate.
But for those who love chocolate and like to try new things, the project is a dream of consumption that could soon come true.
3D Printers are already a reality with countless benefits for industries, designers and enthusiasts. However, as with all new technology, there is always the possibility that it will not just be used for peaceful purposes.
Last year, a group of activists from the state of Texas, in the United States, caused controversy by publish a video on the internet showing a plastic lethal weapon that was made with this type of printer.
