Hyper-reality? LG launches Super Ultra HD TV in Brazil

A LG Electronics chose, as it traditionally does, an environment that mixes intimacy and refinement to present yet another great novelty for Brazilian consumers, its new Super Ultra HD TV. The event held on Tuesday afternoon (12) brought together press and technology professionals to present a product that should please the public that does not give up TV for entertainment.

"This technology is another effort by LG to provide consumers with an even better experience through the spectrum of colors and premium design, reinforcing the company's leadership in the Ultra HD 4K segment.”, emphasizes Renato Almeida, product manager – TV at LG Electronics do Brasil.

Almeida also presented this new concept in terms of TV: the SuperUltraHD, that have 3 fundamental premises, namely:

1. Super picture:

The new technology of Super Ultra HD TV uses technology ColorPrime, which offers high color accuracy and wider viewing angles than conventional LCD/LED televisions. The gain is mainly in the 30% color gamut expansion and at the widest viewing angle, thanks to the 4K IPS panel, ideal for content with a high level of detail

2. Super design:

The model has a bold and ultra-thin design of just 8,5 mm of thickness. In addition, the new LED models are the finest on the market and still have Design cinema screen (no borders). Added to this, TVs SuperUltraHD also have audio system designed by Harman/Kardon, guaranteeing the highest quality and functional basis that designs the forward sound. All of this results in a more engaging experience for the consumer.

3. Super smart:

Another highlight of these televisions is the platform  WebOS 2.0, which is up to 70% faster than the previous version and facilitates navigation and usability of Smart TVs. The operating system revolutionized the way the user interacts with the TV, through an intuitive interface from the moment of installation.

First impressions:

Very well in the national TV market Ultra HD (UHD), in which it is the sales leader, SuperUltraHD comes to reinforce the line-up de Premium TVs of the company that brings the newest technologies on the market. At first glance, the impression was very positive, especially in relation to the color contrast e solidity of images that are literally more real than reality itself is. O Design also deserves to be highlighted, because in addition to elegance, add utilities as you do on your audio system.

Another interesting feature is the fact that the LG bet on the schedule digital TV, since most of the content in 4k quality comes from services streaming video like NetFlix, Youtube and others. This feature is reinforced by the platform WebOS 2.0, which will provide greater efficiency to work with videos of this nature. Perhaps this is a clue to the true vocation of smartvs, which at this point seem more used for watching videos than for general browsing.

The Brazilian consumer will be able to find the new lg super ultra hd in specialized stores from the end of this month (May 2015), in 3 models: UF8500, UF8700 e UF9500. The company also passed the suggested price forecast for each of the models:

• 55 inches: 7.499 reais;
• 65 inches: 13.999 reais;

lg super ultra hd (UF8500):

• 49 inches: 5.249 reais;
• 55 inches: 6899 reais;

lg super ultra hd (UF9500):

• 55 inches: 8.199 reais;
• 65 inches: 12.999 reais;
• 79 inches: on request.
