Meet Horizon, Facebook's new virtual world
A virtual reality (VR) is already a craze on video game consoles and PCs, thanks to special glasses that take players to “another world” full of fantasy. This week, the Facebook announced a new venture using technology, it is about Horizon: a fully interactive environment using virtual reality, in which players can perform various activities such as mini games, interactions and create their own environment.

Upon entering the Horizon, players will create an avatar to represent them before starting their exploration. From the trailer and images released, you can see the similarity with the Miis of Nintendo or the avatars of Xbox. Starting from the main square, you will be able to enter portals that lead to new scenarios, in which you can participate in competitions multiplayer initially created by Facebook.
As the player community grows, users can also create their own scenarios and challenges thanks to the “World Builder” (world builder, in free translation).
