O space telescope Hubble has located a galaxy's halo "more accurately than ever before," the European Space Agency (ESA) announced.
During an exploration in the elliptical galaxy Centaur A, astronomers arrived at a distance of 25 times the radius of the galaxy and analyzed a region 450 light millennia long and 295 thousand light years wide.
In addition to this uneven distribution, the researchers found that stars in this halo contained a greater proportion than found in the Milky Way and other nearby galaxies.
