One of the main announcements of the event, the fifth generation of processors Intel Xeon, the company's chip subdivision most focused on use in data centers, will feature faster memory, performance improvements with the same energy use as the fourth generation. Furthermore, the focus on AI will continue to be present in the product, which will feature improvements of 2 to 3% in workflows involving artificial intelligence.

In practice, this allows AI professionals to be able to work through their own development packages, which were previously available for the fourth generation but which will now allow greater productivity and less performance time for deliveries to be made on time, according to the tool whichever you prefer.

AI represents a generational shift, giving way to a new era of global expansion in which computational power is even more important for a better future for everyone.

The fifth generation of Intel Xeon will also be used in conjunction with the Intel Gaudi 2, the company's AI acceleration hardware, to create an AI super computer that will have the company as its main consumer AI stability, responsible for artificial intelligence solutions for all audiences.

Furthermore, the Alibaba Cloud also announced that it is using fourth-generation Intel Xeon solutions for real-time language models, thus enabling response speed increases of up to 3X compared to other processors.

Xeon E-core is also coming

In addition to the fifth generation of Xeon chips with P-core, Intel also presented some details of the first generation that will use the E-core model, expected to be launched in the first half of 2024.

Featuring a greater number of processing cores than models with P-Core, the chips codenamed Sierra Forest will feature 2.4x greater performance per watt than the fourth generation Xeon chips currently available on the market, and will also be available in a version with 288 nuclei for greater processing power.

Furthermore, the second generation of e-core chips is also scheduled to be launched in 2025, and will be manufactured in the process Intel 18A.
