Suggestions appear as you type: tap the spacebar to complete words or sentences. With the addition of a new language model, the new feature makes the broker more precise and also, when dictating messages, offers more clarity.
What's New on FaceTime
O FaceTime, the tool for making video calls between Apple devices (including iPads and Macs), is also coming with some improvements. One of the most anticipated changes to FaceTime in iOS 17 is the possibility of using the application in Apple TV, taking your conversations to the bigger screen. With FaceTime on Apple TV, you can use your iPhone as a remote camera and view your contacts on your television.
You can also use your Apple TV remote to navigate FaceTime options like muting your microphone, switching between cameras, or ending the call. Also included was the possibility of record a video or message for when someone calls you on FaceTime and you not available to attend.
Contacts with poster
Your phonebook contacts will now have a Poster. The novelty is an image that the user defines to relate to that person. The image can be a photo of that contact, an image that refers to him or even a business card. Memoji. When the user receives a call, for example, the Poster of that contact will be displayed to facilitate recognition.
More sharing on AirDrop
Apple's sharing system, the AirDrop, is enhanced with iOS 17. Move your iPhone close to someone else's iPhone to use the new one NameDrop, a quick sharing tool. Both can select the phone numbers or email addresses they want to share and they can also instantly send their Contact Poster. Just bring one phone close to the other to start the transfer via AirDrop.
Everything you share is sent over the internet, securely and with no loss of quality, even if your device is out of AirDrop range. The only requirement is that you and the person receiving the data are on iCloud. And also to activate the shareplay instantly, just bring one iPhone to another. Place your iPhone next to a friend's iPhone to watch movies, listen to music, play games together and more with SharePlay.
Faster access to Siri
A Crab gained new features and improvements that promise to make it even more intelligent, useful and natural. Just take a look at the personal assistant enhancements.
- Simplified Activation: Now, you no longer need to say “Hey Siri” to trigger the assistant. Just say “Siri” and she will start listening. This makes the interaction faster and more fluid, in addition to avoiding awkward situations when Siri does not respond on the first try;
- Commandos multiples: You can also ask Siri to do a variety of things without having to wake her up between requests. For example, you can say “Siri, set a five minute timer”, wait for it to respond, then say “Give me the weather forecast” and it will run the second task without having to say “Siri” again. This makes it easy to use the wizard for everyday tasks;
- visual results: Siri has also started to show richer and more visual results on the iPhone screen, especially in the new Standby mode, which turns the device into a useful screen when charging horizontally (more on that shortly). You can ask Siri to check the weather, the score of a game, or the progress of a delivery and see the information clearly and far away;
- Artificial intelligence: Finally, Siri also got smarter thanks to the use of software from OpenAI, an artificial intelligence research company, including responsible for ChatGPT. Siri can now track your conversations, generate text and create summaries of information from the web. This allows it to be more personalised, creative and informative.
What's new in Safari, the default browser
Now let's talk about the news of iOS 17 about the safari, the iPhone's default browser. iOS 17 brings several improvements to Safari, which combined could be enough to convince you to use a native browser instead of a third-party one like Chrome or Firefox. Here's what's new in Safari on iOS 17.
- Profiles: Safari now lets you create different profiles to keep your browsing activities separated by topic, like work and home. By creating different profiles, you can easily switch between browsing history, extensions, tab groups, cookies and bookmarks without confusion;
- Private Mode Lock with Touch ID/Face ID: If you use private mode to browse the web, you probably don't want someone to see your tabs when they pick up your iPhone. Fortunately, iOS 17 lets you lock these tabs when you're not using them, requiring a Touch ID or Face ID verification (depending on your iPhone) to open them again;
- Search improvements: Safari promises more relevant and easier-to-read search results. The demo showed several regular results below a widget showing the current scores of the MLS game the user was looking for;
- Removing Trackers in Private Mode: There's no point in opening a private tab if other sites can monitor what you're doing. In an added feature in Safari's security, private mode windows in iOS 17 now block tracking cookies and delete URL tracking tags that some websites add to the end of links that would otherwise keep tabs on your adventures on the web. web;
- Mail App Verification Code Autofill: Your iPhone is already smart enough to detect when a verification code for a website arrives in your Messages app, showing the code at the top of your keyboard for easy entry. Now iOS 17 will expand the verification code autofill system to the Mail app as well;
- password sharing: iCloud Keychain users will be able to share usernames and passwords with select groups in iOS 17, with credentials automatically updating if you change anything. This feature works on iOS apps, but Safari is likely to benefit the most from this collaborative feature.

Use your iPhone as a bedside clock, display photos of special moments, and access the right information at the right time with the widget Smart Sets.
