The debate between smartphone preference Android ou iPhones it is always a heated debate.
However, I found an opinion given by one of the members of the Brazilian forum of Android which I believe to be one of the most impartial and clear on the subject. It is worth reading. See below:
“Disclaimer: It's just my opinion, if anyone disagrees, no problem.
I stayed 3 years with one (or rather two) iPhones, and now I have a Samsung Nexus S. I was never a fan of Apple , but I think the iPhone is one of the best smartphones ever produced (if not the best).
I was very confused about the choice between a iPhone 4 or a Samsung Galaxy S (which in the end I returned when the Nexus S). I really liked the Android, mainly from the notification bar (I consider the equivalent implementation in iPhone a trash).
However, the iPhone, in general, gives us the impression of being a more mature, more finished system. This is mainly due to the fact that the Apple do what you want in the way you want. The user, if he doesn't like it, buy another cell phone. This, in general, corresponds to a more consistent experience, as opposed to Android, which still lacks in many aspects (such as the interface, for example), despite having improved a lot.
An example of this is how much the interface of the Android has changed, and even so, it only seems to me now that the time has come to iPhone. There's still a lot of "boring" stuff in it, but it's being improved.
In the end, I chose the Android because it is a more open system, with many interesting programs, better implemented multitasking, in addition to several other reasons. I don't care if the system itself is closed or open, it just doesn't make any difference to me. Our cars are full of proprietary codes, proprietary parts, etc., but that's not why we ride our bikes for that reason. Of course, I like the idea of being “open source”, as I have had my share of contributions in the past and am editor of wikipedia. However, I will not use a product that I consider worse simply because it is “open source”.
At the end of the day, I want the product that best suits my needs. For a long time this product was the iPhone. But now I think it's the Android.
Still, you can't say that one system/smartphone is absolutely better than the other. There is one that better meets the needs of a specific person, and another that doesn't. In other words, preference for a smartphone is a combination of personal taste and specific needs it can meet.
O Android has more possibilities, but requires more setup and work. Meanwhile, the iPhone comes with an “experience ready” designed by Apple . The experience itself is very good, but if you don't like it, there's nothing you can do.
That is why, if I had to recommend a device to a “lay person”, not so used to new technologies, I would still recommend the iPhone. But if you are someone who likes to dig around and make the most of their cell phone, I recommend a Android devices.
PS: Comparing “features” means nothing. There are many "xing lings” (generic Chinese cell phones) that do everything a iPhone or a Android do. However, this in no way makes them better smartphones.
Just my 2 cents. Hugs.
