Kingston releases password-enabled flash drive for added security

A Kingston Brasil invited journalists and influencers to attend the Vault Bar, in the city of São Paulo, for the presentation of products from its line Iron Key, focused on data security of the most diverse types. The company also stressed the importance of transitioning from types of RAM memory to DDR4 all with DDR5.

The main novelty is the pendrive with password, which takes the name of Iron Key KeyPad 200, already sold in Brazil with 5 storage capacities and with an independent system. Check all information.

Despite not having its own factory in Brazil and still importing all products sold in Tupiniquin lands, Kingston has worked to offer a wide range of options to different types of audiences. Those who value data security can opt for the line Iron Key, which features entry-level to premium models, all focused on keeping data safe.

Going further, the company recalls that the Passphrase mode allows a numerical PIN, a phrase, a list of words or even song lyrics with 10 to 64 characters. 

Sending data to the cloud with total was also highlighted by Kingston. O Locker +50 manages to send data to the service that its owner prefers, automatically. This way, if you lose the pendrive for some reason, all the files will be saved in the previously created folder.

O Locker +50 is sold in Brazil in capacities of 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB, with prices starting at BRL 484,60 at the official Kingston store.

Aimed at small and medium-sized companies, this model of pendrive with password also features encryption details that allow data protection through a password, which can be a numeric PIN or the user's own passphrase. The device can also be used in read-only mode, which prevents any alteration of the files.

A Kingston he also knows that there are people who can end up getting a password wrong, so he put the “eye” function on his pendrive. In practice, the typed password can be seen in real time so that you don't make a mistake and, of course, you don't have the files deleted after the pen drive detects a system intrusion. And you don't have to worry about capturing data: the passwords are typed on a virtual keyboard of the Vault Privacy 50.

Ironkey Privacy 200

Can be defined as the great announcement of the event held by the company, this model of pendrive with password arrives in Brazil with a built-in physical keyboard and independent operating system. The company remembers that it can be connected to a model that is running Windows, macOS and even Linux.

Kingston has confirmed that it has FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification (Pending) for military-grade security and epoxy protection that prevents virtual internal components from being removed, no matter what type of file attack is attempted.

If you want to share the pendrive, it is also possible to create, within the operating system itself, one access for user and another for administrator. The model also has a version that only allows reading the files.
