LG G4 is officially launched

In recent weeks the LG gave some tips on the launch of the G4, revealing that part of camera specs and the look and feel of the personalization interface of the Android Lollipop 5.1. Today (28), the company finally announced its new top of the line. Find out all about him below:

Screen:

O LG G4 It has a 5.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels (qHD), with a density of 538 pixels per inch. According to the manufacturer, the display has more brightness and color gamut, in addition to consuming less energy compared to the screen of the previous model. called "Quantum IPS Display”, it is 25% brighter, 11% more energy efficient and has 50% more powerful contrast than the old one G3.

The screen is still slightly curved - not as much as the one used in the "G Flex" from LG – resulting in 20% more durability to protect the device against drops. As for the visualization, apparently, there are almost no differences from a traditional screen.

Hardware:

Other features include the processor Snapdragon 808 da Qualcomm (64-bit hexa-core with 2 Cortex A57 cores + 4 Cortex A53 cores), 3GB de DDR3 RAM memory e 32GB of space for internal storage, with the possibility of expansion through the microSD card. The battery has 3.000 mAh of capacity, making G4 one of the most durable in the category. However, resources such as the Quick Charge (ultra-fast charging, similar to the one on the Galaxy S6 and Moto Maxx) or wireless charging (you will need an adapter sleeve).

According to the company, the new GPS used in G4 it is twice as accurate as present in competitors.

Camera:

The camera has optical image stabilization and the laser focus system just like the previous generation. However, now it has resolution of 16 megapixels and f/1.8 aperture. This means that it will be able to capture more light and be faster. Laser focus has also improved, gaining a feature called a “color spectrum sensor” that evaluates ambient lighting and results in more accurate colors for photos. The front camera has also been improved and now has 8 megapixels, one of the highest resolutions ever used in this type of camera.

Design:

O LG G4 it is slightly larger than its predecessor, with minor styling changes, but still very similar to the previous model. Dimensions are: 149.1 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm compared to the 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm of the G3. The gain in thickness is due to the curved construction, although smaller than that presented in the LG G Flex 2, the company's smartphone launched during MWC15.

Although made of plastic, the new G4 gets colored covers and produced in leather, which gives a better appearance to the smartphone. Unfortunately, a metal construction was not chosen, as is the case with the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6.

The model comes from the factory with the version 5.1 (Lollipop) of the system Android, under the proprietary interface of LG, which became even lighter and with fewer mandatory-but-unnecessary applications (the famous bloatwares), which is always welcome.

O LG G4 will be sold in United States at the end of May and then in the other markets. At the Brazil, it should arrive in early June. THE LG has not yet confirmed the price of the device, but it is likely to be sold for a lower value than the main competitors - read Galaxy S6 e iPhone 6 - as was the case with the G3 in the past.
