LG launches square monitor with focus on multitasking

Technology, in general, always presents innovations in any of its areas of activity. In the case of monitors, it is no different. THE LG announced a square monitor (or nearly so), which will give the impression of using two 21,5-inch monitors together. Check out!

With the unprecedented dimension of 16:18, the new format included in this monitor was baptized as Dual Up. It still has 2560 x 2880 resolution and is 27,6 inches when measured from one diagonal to the other. The display has 300 nits of brightness, which covers up to 98% in color display. The DualUp is categorized as an ergonomic monitor (including stand Ergo, from LG), as it manages to save physical space, theoretically bringing together two monitors in one.

And not only that, the company also claims that this model can be revolutionary in terms of user health, avoiding movements of the head to the right and left — as when two monitors are used — reducing pain on the neck and back of the neck. This can be the solution for those who prefer a more minimalist environment, but which also offers the opportunity to work with two applications at the same time.

While there is still no further information on the value of the DualUp monitor, LG has stated that more details and specs will be presented during the launch. CES 2022, on the 4th of January.
