LG launches new professional and gaming monitors with up to 6K resolution

A LG started this week bringing new monitors of all types to the market. The big highlight is the UltraGear OLED GX9 5K, which can display images in two different resolutions, but other professional models have also been introduced. These include monitors aimed at professional work that share the same operating system as the brand. Check out the details.

LG Ultragear G9K
starting with UltraGear GX9 Curved OLED (45GX950A-B), this is the world's first OLED gaming monitor with the innovative technology Dual Mode 5K2KThis unique feature allows the user to choose between two high-performance settings: prioritize speed over resolution 2K WFHD at 330Hz refresh rate, or focus on maximum image quality in 5K WUHD at 165Hz.

Its OLED panel ensures an ultra-fast response time of just 0.03ms (GtG), eliminating motion blur and providing extremely smooth gameplay. Color fidelity is another highlight, with 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut and DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification, which delivers deep blacks and enhanced contrast.
To ensure a seamless experience, the UltraGear GX9 It supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies. The monitor also features RichBass speakers and advanced connectivity, including a DisplayPort 2.1 port and USB-C with 90W of power for charging devices.

Ultrafine 6K Monitor
Another model that also appeared in CES 2025 and will soon be launched in Brazil, it is the monitor Ultrafine 6K, which, in addition to its high resolution, also supports Thunderbolt 5 connections, delivering data transfers of up to 120Gbps of bandwidth. This is the first model in this category, with a 32" screen with VESA HDR Display 600 certification.
Its NANO IPS Black panel delivers high color accuracy, achieving high contrast with a gamut that covers 99,5% of the Adobe RGB standard and 98% of DCI-P3. It's worth noting that this monitor is more geared towards content creators working with the new Mini macs (with chip) M4 Pro) or MacBook Pro (M4 Pro ou Max M4), which support 6K resolution and Thunderbolt 5 ports.

Keeping the line's identity, the monitor comes equipped with the webOS operating system, transforming the large screen into an entertainment hub with access to apps, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. For connectivity, the monitor features two HDMI ports and two USB-A ports, ideal for connecting peripherals. The audio system is also superior, with 7W x2 stereo speakers, and it supports screen mirroring via AirPlay 2 and Screen Share.

Cinebeam S
Closing the ads of LG, Cinebeam S (s of small, or small, in Portuguese) is an ultra-short throw projector model weighing 2,5 kg and measuring 16 cm in height that does not require the device to be positioned meters away from the projection area. In other words, the model, which displays images in 4K resolution on a screen measuring 40 to 100 inches, can be used in both larger and smaller spaces. It is considered by many to be the smaller brother of the Cinebeam Q 4K, which arrived in Brazil in June last year.
Other features include brightness of up to 500 ANSI lumens, a 3-channel RGB light source, 154% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, a dynamic contrast ratio of 450.000:1, and HDR10 support.
