Galaxy Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra arrive with new processor from Qualcomm

A Samsung has just announced its new line of tablets featuring three different models, one entry-level, one intermediate and, of course, a premium model. We are talking respectively about the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, S9+ and S9Ultra, the latter standing out for its large 14,6-inch screen. And just like the new South Korean smartphones, the tablets have the processor Qualcomm which is unique to Samsung. Check out the news!

Fabric

Each model features a 16:10 aspect ratio screen with 2x Dynamic AMOLED, ensuring vibrant colors and sharp contrasts. This technology provides an immersive experience when watching movies, playing games and working on creative projects. Another highlight of the screens is support for the standard HDR10 +, providing content reproduction with high dynamic range and more realistic colors. All models in the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup come with a dynamic refresh rate, ranging from 60 Hz to 120 Hz.

This adaptive refresh rate allows the screen to automatically adjust its fluidity depending on the content displayed. For more dynamic scenes, the 120Hz rate ensures a smooth and responsive experience, while for simpler tasks like reading or navigating, the rate is reduced to save energy. To further improve the user experience, all screens have the function vision booster. This function automatically increases the brightness of the screen in sunny locations, making the screen more readable and easier to see even in bright sunlight.

Processor

A série Galaxy Tab S9 incorporates the processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, developed exclusively by Qualcomm for the company. This processor offers a significant performance boost over previous generations, enabling snappy multitasking and a seamless user experience.

Operational system

The three models of the Tab S9 series are powered by the operating system Android 13, the latest version of the mobile operating system developed by Google. Tablets come with the interface One UI 5.1.1 from Samsung, a personalization layer that adds a series of features and improvements exclusive to the brand. One UI is known for its intuitive interface and streamlined design, providing a smoother and more enjoyable user experience.

Resistance

Samsung is proud to introduce the company's first premium line tablets with IP68 certification against water and dust. This new feature represents a significant milestone as it offers users an extra layer of protection and peace of mind when using their tablets in a variety of everyday situations.

With IP68 certification, the Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets can withstand the ingress of water and dust at levels that allow them to function even after immersion in up to 1,5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. This protection is especially welcome in this type of device, since tablets are often taken around, whether on trips, meetings or leisure time.

Audio

The sound quality in the Tab S9 series tablets is guaranteed by Samsung's renowned partnership with AKG, an audio brand recognized in the market for its quality. Each tablet is equipped with two AKG stereo speakers, which provide an immersive sound experience.

A notable feature of these speakers is the increase of 20% in its size compared to the previous year's models. This enhancement results in even more powerful audio reproduction, with deeper bass and clearer highs.

Connectivity

The line Galaxy Tab S9 offers state-of-the-art connectivity to meet users' needs for wireless connectivity. All models are equipped with Wi-Fi 7. This technology provides a faster, more stable and reliable connection, enabling faster data transfers and a smoother browsing experience on supported Wi-Fi networks.

They also have the Bluetooth 5.3, which provides a low-power wireless connection. This allows the devices to easily connect to other Bluetooth devices such as wireless headphones, keyboards and other accessories, ensuring a more efficient user experience and extending battery life. For those looking for an even more advanced connectivity experience, some models of the Tab S9 series will be available with support for 5G networks.

Features

Tablets come with some apps pre-installed, including GoodNotes, LumaFusion, Clip Studio Paint e arc site, all designed to spark users' creativity. Tab S9 owners have the option to share notes from Samsung Notes in meetings of Google Meet, allowing all participants to edit them together, which facilitates collaboration and the exchange of ideas.

Another interesting feature is the ability of these tablets to work as a second screen for laptops and desktops with Windows, which provides a smoother and more efficient multitasking experience. This functionality increases productivity by allowing users to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Colors

Two color options will be available for the tablet: graphite, available in Wi-Fi version, and ivory, available in Wi-Fi + 5G version. This variety of colors allows users to choose the style that best suits their aesthetic preferences, in addition to having specific technologies for each one.

Accessories

The entire Galaxy Tab S9 lineup will come with a S Pen with protection rating IP68K, which means it is also water and dust resistant. This S Pen will be included in the box at no additional cost. In addition to the standard S Pen, there will also be an option called S Pen Creative Edition, which features a unique design and comes with various interchangeable pen tips for different writing and drawing styles. However, this version will be sold separately for those who want more features and customization.

An exclusivity for Brazil is that the keyboard cover will be included with the tablets, at no additional cost. This keyboard cover is easy to use and turns your tablet interface into the dex mode, similar to a Windows PC. This allows users to increase their productivity by using the tablet as a hybrid device, ideal for more complex work and multitasking.

In addition, a skin called Smart Book Cover, which protects the tablet screen from scratches and impacts. In addition to providing protection, this case can be used to position the tablet in an upright position, making it easy to use in a variety of situations, such as watching videos or making hands-free video calls.

As for the internal storage capacities of the Galaxy Tab S9 line tablets, the company offers the following options:

Price and availability

Launched today for pre-sale and with deliveries scheduled from August 11th, the line Galaxy Tab S9 its price may vary according to the model and also its storage capacity. So, below, follows the initial value of each available model:

Samsung has prepared a special launch action for its new tablets from the Galaxy Tab S9 line, available between July 26th and August 27th, 2023. When purchasing a Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra or a Galaxy Tab S9+, consumers can enjoy great benefits. O Smart Exchange enables customers to receive up to BRL 1.500 bonus in exchange for their old product, in addition to receiving twice as much storage. This means that those who buy the model with 256 GB of storage will be upgraded to 512 GB.
