The first time the world got to know the Macintosh was in a commercial during the Super Bowl in 1984, two days before it was unveiled and presented by Steve Jobs. The commercial was directed by Ridley Scott and it aired on the national network, which was enough for it to have the success it had. It was so loud that news channels on TV aired the commercial as well, thus giving the Macintosh free advertising.

Finally, on January 24 of that year, Steve Jobs officially revealed the machine, using a very rustic application, but very surprising for the time, capable of transforming text into voice. The Macintosh voice, as we can see in the video below.

It arrived with just 128K of memory, running the System 1 operating system (later renamed Mac OS) and a Motorola 68000 processor running at 8HMz. The screen was 9 inches, black and white and with a resolution of 512 x 342, which at the time was considered a high resolution. She already came with MacWrite, the writing program and macpaint, the drawing.
