Urban mobility is always a topic on the agenda here at showmetech. The need to create more efficient ways to get around also inspires inventors to find new solutions to the issue. One startup of San Francisco has developed a car that could be a game-changer for the auto industry. O C-1  is a motorcycle-to-passenger car hybrid that could guarantee cleaner, quieter cities if adopted on a large scale.

designed by Lit Motors Inc. – a Californian company that designs innovative cars with a green profile – the main advantage of the C-1 lies in the fact that it provides the safety of a car with the agility of a motorcycle and – even more importantly  to a baixo custo de maintenance. As it is an electric vehicle, travel costs are negligible.

Capable of carrying up to 2 people, C-1 was designed to don't fall (even when rammed or stopped). This is possible thanks to a gyro system electronically controlled, which control the steering and motors in the wheels with 40W power. The vehicle can achieve impressive 190 km per hour, offering an autonomy that varies between 240 km to 350 km.

Your batteries need 6 hours to recharge, which does not seem to be an inconvenience for everyday use. O C-1 also have compatibility with various technologies wireless information useful to the driver, such as traffic and weather data. Another important detail is the fact that the vehicle is also back up, which significantly improves comfort when driving the vehicle in maneuvering areas, such as parking lots.

Founding CEO of Lit Motors, Daniel Kim, did not announce the official date for the start of commercialization of the C-1, but the company is already accepting advance orders. According to the latest public price estimate, the vehicle would cost about 24 thousand dollars (almost 100 thousand reais). With a slightly salty price, the C-1 won't be popularized anytime soon, its stylish look and hi-tech is a beautiful inspiration for a more mobile future.
