The timing of the shots is perfect and the plot twist definitely makes the story more fun. The point here is that people are not better off for being diligently dedicated to their studies, and the same goes for those more inclined to only care about parties. It's the sum of everything that makes experiences worth it, even more so at this age. I believe that the fact that it was a female-directed and written film may have influenced the quality of how this story with female protagonists turned out so well.
