Set between light and shadow and between science and superstition, Beyond imagination is an anthology thriller series of Rod Serling that manages to combine the purest terror with science fiction, as well as having a hint of drama, comedy and attachment to superstition.

Serling was the presenter of all episodes and had the prestige of introducing stories that had participation from actors such as Burt Reynolds, Roddy McDowell e Robert Redford. Some of the stories of Beyond imagination They portray people's greatest fears and anxieties (or neighbors who are too strange to be supernaturally suspicious, or simply realities around them that are not at all pleasing).

By the way, Black Mirror is a contemporary version of this series, because before science fiction was limited to distant galaxies with mysterious creatures, this genre used to address social analogies and metaphors about the world we live in.

Beyond imagination gained an adaptation from the perspective of Jordan Peele in 2019, but despite being great, it ended up being canceled after two seasons.

In the initial premise, Sir Malcolm Murray (Timothy Dalton) is an explorer who lost his daughter to the creatures of the city and will do whatever it takes to get her back and correct the mistakes of the past. His accomplice, the seductive clairvoyant Vanessa Ives (Eva Green), recruits the charming American Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) to help locate the daughter of Sir Malcolm and kill some monsters.

Here, the supernatural works to highlight fears and traumas that are more human than anything else. In the story, the talented victoria pedretti plays Dani, a young woman who starts working in a mansion as a nanny Flora (Amelie Bea Smith) e Miles (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth), two sister children who, as time passes, begin to behave strangely. 

In the meantime, Hannah (T'Nia Miler), Owen (Rahul Kohli) e Jamie (Amelia Eve), the other employees of the house, also have their own secrets and mysteries to solve.
