How to activate temporary messages in WhatsApp groups
In the case of groups, only administrators can control whether to turn the temporary messaging feature on or off. If an administrator activates the function, all messages disappear after the stipulated period, as happens in private chat. The process, however, is the same:
- open the conversation on WhatsApp and tap the group name.

3. If another message appears, click Continue. Remember that in some cases this step does not appear. Finally, select the duration from the options “24h","7 days" or "90 days".

4. As with private messages, an icon will appear on the group's profile photo indicating that temporary messages on WhatsApp have been activated.

To disable temporary messages in groups, repeat the entire previous procedure, but this time select the option “Disabled".
