Microsoft Brings AI-powered Bing to Smartphones

On the last 7th of February, the ecosystem announced the Bing with AI, a new version of the search engine created by the company, which started to use technology from OpenAI, similar to that used in ChatGPT. The novelty brings improvements in the search system and is still capable of generating content. Now, after starting testing the novelty, the company is taking the functionality to smartphone apps in the Edge, Skype e Bing. The idea is that more users can test the novelty in more services with features such as voice interaction.

In the case of the app Bing, for example, it arrives with a renewed look (limited only in the preview version, for now) and has the new search, which had already arrived on the web at the beginning of the month. Also announced was the voice search function, allowing users to skip typing to search using chat.

The new interface designed by ecosystem resembles that of a common messaging application, which brings an air of conversation between real people. The difference is that on the other side there is not a friend or family member, but a language model GPT-3 da OpenAI with the model Prometheus delivering search results in message format.

In all three applications, you will see a Bing at the bottom that will allow the internet user to ask questions, surveys or simply interact with the chatbot newly released. In case of Skype or Whatsapp, the novelty will also allow users to perform searches in group calls by adding the chatbot the conversation.

If your family is chatting about the next family gathering, you can simply ask Bing for suggestions about travel destinations, expected weather and interesting events around the time of your trip, and everyone in the chat will have access to the results.

It is worth remembering that the use of this search has daily limits, now slightly higher: 60 conversations per day and 6 conversations per session. According to the company, the idea is to increase soon to 100 conversations per day.
