If you've been following news about Windows Phone - and the promised update to 10 Windows Mobile - probably have you read this headline before. The reason for this is delays that have occurred since last year and the lack of official information regarding the release of the new system by Microsoft.
However, it seems that the time has come: in recent weeks, telephone operators around the world have informed customers that Windows 10 Mobile has already been approved on their networks.
Furthermore, in a Email for partners, obtained from the VentureBeat website, Microsoft confirms that it will start updates this month - possibly before the company's annual conference, the build 2016, which begins March 29.
Although Microsoft already sells four smartphones abroad that come standard with Windows 10 Mobile – Lumias 550, 650, 950 and 950 XL – upgrading to older devices, which still use Windows Phone 8.1, suffered a series of delays due to bugs and instabilities of the new system.
On the other hand, users registered in the program Windows Insider, who have been testing Windows 10 Mobile for months, have noticed a significant improvement in the latest versions made available by the company. The list of known issues, for example, has decreased with each update, which indicates that the final version is next.
The models Lumia that are ready to receive the new operating system were disclosed last year (among the Nokia/Microsoft devices sold in Brazil, only the Lumia 530 seems to have been left out, as it only has 4GB of internal storage).
At first, the update should start manually, that is, the user who wants to download must enter the device settings and start the process. Going forward, Microsoft should send out alerts urging users to update.
Among the new features of Windows 10 Mobile are the browser Microsoft Edge, an improved notification center, refined look and feel of the home screen and settings, new apps Office, Skype built-in, Groove Music, Photos, Maps and universal app support including a new instagram.
