The Surface Pro began to suffer some attacks from competitors, with the arrival of iPad Pro and Pixel C. During the today's event, ecosystem announced the update of its hybrid, which is now lighter, thinner and more powerful.
The screen has grown and is now 12.3 inches, with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Despite this, the size of the Surface has not increased.
Combined with the new stylus, the tablet/notebook is able to recognize up to 1.024 pressure levels many different. The pen has a rubber tip function and can be magnetically attached to the device.
O Surface Pro 4 has a processor Intel generation (Skylake), which can be combined with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The hybrid also has front speakers and a front webcam with 8 megapixel resolution and autofocus.
According to ecosystem, it is 30% faster than the Surface Pro 3 and 50% faster than the MacBook Air.
The new TypeCover it is thinner and can be bent at the tip, leaving the keyboard with a slight diagonal angle. The glass trackpad is 40% larger and has up to five multi-touch points. There is a biometric reader (only available in the US for now).
It was also announced a new dock, which is connected via cable with the tablet and has four USB 3.0 ports, two DisplayPort 4K connectors and an Ethernet cable. It is compatible with Pro 3.
