Travel from plane long distances can be tedious. But an app called MileHi wants to end this monotony, connecting passengers on the same flight. By entering the number, flight time and departure and arrival airports, the app starts to show who the others are passengers connected.
From there, it is possible exchange messages in an open or private chat. According to the creators, the application has the potential to meet various interests, such as finding a possible partner business, One companhia for a common event at the destination or even a flirt.
O MileHi does some research with users to see if they are traveling for business or pleasure and also includes profile pages, which display passengers' name, occupation and marital status.
The idea behind the app may be good, but it comes up against major obstacles to take off. Once you are flying it will only work with a connection Wi-Fi and even in the United States (where the number of planes with internet connections is higher), people don't use it.
According to the Yahoo Travel, barely 6% of passengers use the Wi-Fi when it is available during the flight. Here in the Brazil, for example, Gol is the first airline to offer this option. And, if that wasn't enough, it is necessary that other passengers have the application installed. At probabilities to meet someone aren't that great; anyway, it's still the beginning of the journey of the MileHi.
The application is free and can be downloaded for iOS ou Android.
