As tradition, the Google For Brazil 2025 arrives with news for everyone who uses the brand's services. Some revelations announced about two weeks ago in Google I/O 2025 are already here, but the most interesting announcements focus on security features, as robberies are still a big problem across the country.
Google search
A Google search is used for many tasks and as the last event of the Google In May, the trend is to have more and more AI in everything. Some new features for those looking for bus tickets and information about restaurants have been announced. See everything.
AI Weather Forecast
Through the MetNet-3 language model, Google announced that Search's weather forecasting capabilities will deliver even more accurate results. As soon as a person searches for 'climate', 'weather today' ou 'weather near me' and also have given permission to use the location, the language model developed by Google will be able to predict precipitation with high accuracy within a radius of five kilometers every 15 minutes, over the next 12 hours.
This can help people not only know what the weather is like at the moment, but also be aware of possible rain during the day. Google closed a partnership with the CEMADEM (National Center for Monitoring and Alerts for Natural Disasters) to use historical precipitation data in the country to improve the model.
Brazil was the first country in Latin America to test the new product and, during the event, it was highlighted that more countries in the region should receive the new product in the coming weeks.
Buying football tickets
Brazil is undoubtedly the country of football, but until now, it was still necessary to access websites to buy tickets to watch your favorite team. That changes from today: as soon as you search for the name of the team or the upcoming match, Google Search will display tickets for matches in the Brazilian Championship Series A and B.
A Google partnered with the Join e Footballcard to find match tickets. It is worth remembering that, through the partnership with Sympla, Sampa Ticket e ticket 360, users were already able to access tickets for events, shows and plays sold by these companies. There, it is possible to compare prices and find out which is the best option, making it necessary to only close the purchase on the official website.
Buying bus tickets
Another novelty announced since 2023, also in Google For Brazil, is the possibility of buying bus tickets to all parts of Brazil. The idea here is to deliver an experience similar to finding cheap flights , which shows options from several websites at the same time, in addition to allowing you to know about the impact caused on the atmosphere of flights and setting price alerts.
Regarding buses, you will be able to find out about the services included in the tickets, such as air conditioning, power outlets and Wi-Fi. Google mentions that this resource was only possible due to a partnership with Distribution Technologies, which collaborates with more than 140 bus companies around the world.
The feature will be available from today, June 10th, and you just need to search for the route you want to take.
Delivery and meal voucher information
Those who receive meal vouchers will love this new feature: through a partnership with companies such as Alelo, Sodexo, Pluxee e iFood Benefits, you will be able to know which flags are accepted at the location before you even place your order or leave your home. The profiles of the restaurants on Google My Business via Company Profile — which, in numbers, means that 450 thousand establishments — will receive identification soon.
In addition, it will also be possible to place orders with just one click: the Search platform will be integrated with websites such as iFood, Rappi, Anota.ai, Ola Click, Dino Menu, Goomer e McDonald's so that the order can be made with just a few commands. There will be a button for delivery or pick-up of food with whatever the customer wants.
Google Lens

Already in testing for a few weeks, the Google Lens, activated directly from the home screen, can also be used to make payments. The process will work as follows:
- The customer opens the Camera app or Google Lens and scans the QR Code;
- As soon as Lens identifies the Pix code, a button to make the payment will be displayed virtually;
- Then, Google Pay will open on your smartphone. From here, simply change the payment amount and confirm via the pre-registered password.
If you don't have it yet Pix integrated into your Google Wallet, the user will be invited to do the process. The company also confirms that, via Circle to Search, it will be possible to make payments in Pix through identification made via AI. In this way:
Lens with more AI
As a rethought form of Gemini Live, Google Lens now answers questions about what is being viewed by the camera. The company exemplified this new function by showing a landscape, with the tourist asking questions directly to the artificial intelligence.
In addition to receiving voice responses, users will receive links to learn more about the photo or location being viewed by Lens with more AI.
The company also took advantage of the Google For Brazil 2025 to announce that the AI Overviews, also being tested in Brazil, now has full support for delivering responses in Portuguese. The AI Mode, announced at Google I/O 2025, will also be arriving in Brazil soon, with support for our language, but a date for this has not yet been announced.
Pix on Chrome
O Pix also arrives at Chrome, to allow users to make purchases of up to R$500. Once you are on the purchase screen, it can be completed with the security of Google Pay, being necessary to have registered in the application.
Through partnerships with various e-commerces such as Bahia Houses, Mercado Livre and more, the Pix on Chrome is available to all Brazilians starting today, with expansion planned for the coming months. The company recommends updating the application Google Chrome for better use of the resource.
Google workspace
Simultaneous translation into Portuguese on Meet
Also announced during the Google I/O 2025, support for the Portuguese language, AI translation in Google Meet (in the testing process), arrives in Brazil. The company wants to preserve the naturalness of the translations, replacing the original voice with one generated by AI as soon as a person starts speaking.
The feature will be available “in the coming weeks” to subscribers of Google One and released to corporate clients of Google workspace by the end of the year. If you are in a meeting with several people speaking a foreign language, you will hear each person with their own voice and personality reflected. This helps to identify the participants and makes it easier to have group conversations.
Gemini on Meet
Another imported novelty, coming directly from Google I/O 2024, is the possibility of using the Gemini on Google Meet as a personal assistant, who listens and creates summaries of what was discussed in the online meeting. Once all participants have left the Google Meet, the summary will be sent to everyone, via email, via a link to Google Docs.
In addition to being able to make summaries, the Gemini you can also transcribe a meeting for those who were not present on the video call. The function Write it down for me, in addition to summarizing details about what was discussed in the meeting, also suggests next steps. The feature will be available “in the coming weeks” to subscribers of Google workspace.
I want help (Google Docs, Sheets and Chat)
The company also announced the feature I Want Help Creating No. Google Docs. Once you click the button, you will see a series of pre-configured documents. Then, the user simply needs to type the text command to receive a unique template, just as requested. The feature will be available in the coming weeks.
Furthermore, the I Want Help Creating also reaches the Google Sheets to help and analyze complete spreadsheets, including based on other documents.
The same goes for the Google Chat: It will be possible to receive summaries of past chats and also help sending messages to an entire group through a simple text command.
Anti-theft protections on Android
Finally, it was announced by Google during the event Google for Brazil, what cell phones Android in Brazil will have theft protection solutions activated by default. Brazil will be the first country to receive this change, which will come into effect in the second half of this year for new or factory-restored devices.
The new measures include the automatic activation of the Theft Detection Lock and Remote Lock. O Theft Detection Lock uses artificial intelligence to detect theft and automatically lock the cell phone screen. Remote Lock allows the user to block their device remotely, through an online page, simply by providing their cell phone number. These features have been around since 2024, but they needed to be activated manually.
With the new measure, the Google aims to ensure that more people have their cell phones protected. However, the user will have the option to disable the features if they prefer. Fabrício Ferracioli, Google's Manager of Android Technical Partnerships, says that factory activation of the Remote Lock makes the resource more accessible and reinforces the commitment of Google in offering safe solutions.
Furthermore, Military Police of Sao Paulo (PMESP) will incorporate the Google Locator, application that includes access to Remote Lock, in the suite of applications used by police officers. This will allow officers to help victims of robbery to block their phones at the time of the incident. The solutions Android Theft Protection are available for cell phones with Android version 10 or higher and can be enabled or disabled in the device settings.
Account for Waze in Brazil
Another new feature announced at the event is the Waze Pro Account, which unifies the assistant Gemini to the famous maps application. As soon as you see an object or other abnormality that could impact traffic, the driver can notify Waze directly, in Portuguese.
The feature began to be tested in the US, in 2024, and is now being tested in Portuguese, in Android e iOS, with selected drivers. The feature is expected to be released to all users by the end of 2025. Gemini has been trained to understand special commands given by drivers so that no additional information is needed.
And at the end of the event, it was announced that the I see 3, the video platform that debuted on Google I/O 2025, is being tested to be able to generate high-quality videos with audio and expressions in Portuguese. Since its launch, it was already possible to create videos in our language through text commands, but this should improve over the next few months.
