The organization did not comment on the case, but stated that the use of high heels by guests on the red carpet was mandatory. May 68: When Cannes stopped

The year 1968 was marked by one of the biggest controversies in Cannes . In May, the festival was abruptly interrupted, something unprecedented in the event's history until then. It all started on May 13th, when the filmmakers François Truffaut e Claude Lelouch they arrived at the 21st edition of the cinema festival with the aim of promoting the spirit of revolt that was taking over Paris at that time.
