Monica and the Guard of the Rabbits marks the return of the gang to games

If you missed playing with Monica's Gang characters, the game Monica and the Guard of the Rabbits came to mix nostalgia with the excitement of trying out a new game.

Using social networks – Monica's entry on twitter, by the way, is one of the best things about this country, almost as much as Neymar's old tweets – the gang announced the new game.

An exclusive teaser from Monica and the Guard of the Rabbits was featured in the second edition of Game XP, which took place between the 6th and 9th of September, in Rio de Janeiro.

A Mauricio de Sousa Productions committed to making a game that can be played by consoles for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Monica and the Guard of the Rabbits takes place in a far away kingdom, full of challenges and surprises, where the gang will need to join forces to defeat an evil that threatens the peace of the inhabitants of this land.

To protect the castle and save the afflicted people, the Monica's Gang You'll have to use cannons that shoot three types of magical stuffed rabbits: Samson, Delilah e Hercules. I think we see a certain pattern in the names here, right?

Each rabbit will have its own effect to defeat the enemy. But it's not just the rabbit cannonade base that the game lives on: you also have to rescue relics and face a very difficult boss to defeat.

If the game wanted to appeal to the nostalgia that shines in the hearts of thousands of people who grew up with Monica's Gang, the game gets it right again with the retro design, worthy of Stranger Things.

The game developer is Mad mimic, winner of the award for the best Brazilian game of 2018 with No Heroes Here.

For now, the forecast is that Monica and the Guard of the Rabbits be released for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, but should arrive on other platforms later.

The game options are individual or multiplayer, with up to four participants, each one incorporating Mônica, Cascão, Cebolinha or Magali.

During the launch of the teaser on Game XP, Mônica Sousa (A Mônica), the executive director of Mauricio de Sousa Produções, commented a little on the game:

“For those who like a quiet day in Bairro do Limoeiro or great adventures, like Cebolinha's infallible plans, the game promises to please everyone. We’re looking forward to more of this release and having a little bit of the audience at Game XP made us even more excited.”

When will Monica and the Rabbit Guard be available?

The game is scheduled for this year, but has not yet had an official date announced.
