An example of a threat emerged in the form of an email with the title “Watch video in which Osama Bin Laden appears holding newspaper with today's date and denies his possible death reported by Obama”. The message contains a fake link that supposedly directs you to a news portal, when in fact it causes you to download a Trojan Horse (trojan horse) banking by clicking. This type of threat aims to steal access data from your home banking.
As social media are also the target of threats that seek to take advantage of the relevance of the death of Bin Laden. O Facebook already has pages created with fake links that promise to show videos of the moment of execution, but that actually lead to advertising videos.
More threats of this type should “pop up” across the Internet in the coming days. Therefore, it is recommended that internet users be aware and think twice before clicking on exclusive links e suspicious videos.
Prefer to access known websites and, above all, do not open suspicious files, to prevent your computer from being infested by some virus.
