At an event held in the city of Tulum, Mexico, the Motorola invited journalists to present the new smartphones from its main line arriving in Brazil today. The company highlights its new line edge 50 of smartphones as the best and most powerful ever on the market. Check out all the details right now.
What's new in the Motorola Edge 50 line
Successor of the line moto edge 40, the company highlighted during the launch event that it is focused on providing a complete experience for those who like to create content, watch content on smartphones and also have fun playing games.
To this end, the brand is betting on the growth of the premium line with the launch of 3 new models: edge 50 fusion, edge 50 pro and edge 50 ultra, all of them with 5G connectivity and support for eSIM installation.
Martín Errante, Head of Product for Latin America at Motorola, also highlighted that the models in this line are quite unique, made with a natural wood finish and vegan leather, combined with long-lasting batteries and fast charging.
Premium line gains space
Among the new features are certified screens and cameras Pantone for color quality, special materials for the body — such as vegan leather, natural wood and special polymers —, a redesigned interface for those who love to personalize their smartphone, and, following the current trend, artificial intelligence that improves photos and videos.
José Cardoso, Regional Manager for Latin America at Motorola, mentions that the brand is one of the fastest growing in the world, reaching number 2 in Latin America with a market share of 19%, according to data from December 2023. For the year 2024, the company expects to double its earnings from premium smartphones .

A Motorola debuts its artificial intelligence on the line edge 50 with the name of Motorcycle AI. It is made up of a series of features present in different parts of the software of these devices, improving the way the interface works and focusing on optimizations that will make the most of each smartphone's camera sets.
Maurício Moisés, senior product director for cameras at Motorola, explains that the company has a new AI algorithm that improves the dynamic range of photos, shadows, clarity and noise reduction. AI will also enable special functions on the device, such as:
- Action shot: which is a mode that can capture images with people or animals in motion, without shaking.
- Long exposure: mode that allows the user to play with light in night photos.
- Tilt Shift: that photographic style that gives the impression that everything is miniature.
Maurício also promises impressive results for photos in portrait mode, even at night. “These are the best results for portraits that Motorola has produced to date”He says.
Tools for edit photos and videos will also be available, the same ones found in Google's Pixel line, such as the Magic Editor, which lets you change objects within the photo, Magic Eraser, to erase people and objects and the Adjust and Blur, to transform traditional photos into portraits with a blurred background.
