Confused about what to do, watch or play? This week's ShowmeCAST helps you with many recommendations

In this week's episode of ShowmeCAST, Arthur Pieri e Leticia Leite welcome Tiago Rodrigues, one of the pop culture and technology writers on the team at showmetech, to comment on what we have been consuming in terms of entertainment in recent weeks — with highlights for cooperative games, weird series, superhero movies and the best of Brazilian TV today.

We started the conversation with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, latest film from Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film has been highly praised for bringing quality action once again under the direction of Sam Raimi, but it leaves something to be desired with a villain that had already been presented in other contexts and with a very predictable script.

Then we enter into the strangeness and genius of the director David Finch discussing the importance of Twin Peaks, one of the most famous TV series internationally. We comment on what makes it so relevant during its debut in the early 1990s and why its third season, exclusive to the streaming service Netflix, took more than 25 years to be released.

To thicken the broth with quality oriental pop culture, Letícia talks about Bubble, a feature film “anime” also available on Netflix which takes place in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo dominated by gangs and parkour. The film has a very emotional vibe and a somewhat captivating art style for lovers of this type of trait.

And speaking of modern entertainment, Arthur brings the popular Casimiro's Cuts, a streamer who has a habit of reacting to other videos and making funny comments about them. A few weeks ago, the carioca started a series of videos reacting to the program Vai Dar Namoro by presenter Rodrigo Faro. It makes me cry from laughing so hard!

Finally, we talk about the series The Staircase e Shining girls and we closed with a golden key bringing It Takes Two to the conversation table. Director Josef Faris' latest project has exceeded expectations and has become one of the best co-op games ever created.
