Today was released MusicMatch, an application designed to help all those users who share music between different platforms. With it, it is possible to send links to the Spotify to be opened in Apple Music — and depending on the occasion — vice versa as well. Meet the new app!
What is MusicMatch?
O MusicMatch is nothing more than a facilitator on music streaming, more specifically the Spotify e Apple Music. For example, when you come across a link to a song, which leads to Spotify, but you use Apple Music, then you will have to search for that track in Apple Music in order to listen to it. MusicMatch comes in at this time, just copy and paste this link into the app to listen to that track on Apple Music.

I clicked on many Spotify links, found the song or artist name, then searched Apple Music several times. Everyday. Whenever someone sends me a link, I need to follow these steps. It's onerous. I'm almost going crazy thinking about it now
Arthur Van Siclen, one of the creators behind MusicMatch
The app works, for now, only on mobile devices. iOS (available on App Store) and among the aforementioned streaming services, Spotify and Apple Music. It works via application, opening the links of both platforms, but its extension to the safari works only for Spotify links that can be opened in Apple Music, not the other way around — also for now.
How does it work?

It's very simple: when you receive the link of a song, copy it, paste it in the MusicMatch and then select which platform you would like to open on, Spotify and Apple Music being the ones available so far. As all the planning for the launch is aimed at smartphones, so it shows itself more fluid over there. Maybe that's why the browser extension works only one way, for now.
Plans for the future
The next step for the developer duo is to take the application to the Mac, despite its intentions to bring the app to other platforms, as well as to increase the availability of streaming services to others, in addition to those served by the app.
Yes, we architected the app with cross-platform apps in mind. We'd love for MusicMatch to solve this problem, no matter where the customers are. Our iOS app is just the beginning
