Recalling the famous Moto Mods from the Moto Z line, which allowed accessories to be attached to the back of the devices, the Tecno Modular Phone was another major highlight of MWC 2026. At only 4,9 millimeters thick, the concept aims to compete with the iPhone Air and... Galaxy Edge S25Its back has these magnetic connectors that allow accessories to be attached.

Tecno has revealed 10 different modules so far. Among the highlights are a power bank that doubles battery capacity, a GoPro-style action camera for stabilized footage, and a telephoto lens dedicated to capturing zoom and low-light portraits.

ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept

The Thinkbook Modular AI PC Concept only looks like a traditional 14-inch Windows notebook, but its main highlight is the detachable screen that expands your workspace and can be placed next to the main screen, in vertical or horizontal mode.

Because the wireless keyboard is also detachable, you can remove it from the casing and have a 2-in-1 notebook by attaching the second screen where the keyboard would be. And you can still use the keyboard on a table without any typing delays.

This innovation is a concept and there's no release date yet for the general market, but it shows what we can expect from the future of the notebook world. Would you use a device like this in your daily life? Tell us in the comments!

For those who love portable consoles, the LEGION GO FOLD is a dream. Thanks to its foldable screen and detachable controls, it has four modes of use: closed as a classic 7,7-inch portable console; open with 11,6 inches horizontally or vertically; and Desktop mode, which transforms it into a mini notebook by attaching the magnetic keyboard.

To support all this versatility, the device comes equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 Lunar Lake generation processor. The system boasts an incredible 32 GB of RAM and a fast 1 TB SSD for storage. Power is supplied by a 48 Wh battery, which raises a small question about battery life when powering such a large panel.

Also considered a concept, it has no scheduled release date, but we want to record here our desire to use a portable console like this someday.

Xiaomi Watch 5

In the field of smartwatches, the standout is the Xiaomi Watch 5.

It features a premium 1,54-inch AMOLED screen and a very practical gesture system for monitoring weight training or opening apps without needing to touch the screen. Its biggest advantage is the dual processing, with a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 for complex tasks and a more economical secondary chip, guaranteeing 6 to 18 days of battery life.

In addition to water resistance, dual-band GPS, and comprehensive health reports in 60 seconds, it runs Google's Wear OS 6, delivering full integration with Android ecosystem apps. In Europe, the launch price is 360 euros (approximately R$ 2.180).

Snapdragon Wear Elite

(Photo: Reproduction/Qualcomm)

And since we're talking about watches, we need to talk about the chip that will dictate the pace of the market from now on, the Snapdragon Wear Elite from Qualcomm. And here's the most explosive detail: it marks a historic turning point, since Samsung has confirmed that it will abandon its own Exynos chips to use Qualcomm in its next releases.

This means the Galaxy Watch9 is in for a huge boost! Since this new Snapdragon processor features the first dedicated AI unit for wearables, the expectation is that the Watch9 will run Galaxy AI features directly on the wrist, transforming the watch into a super proactive assistant.

In addition to resolving any history of lag with a CPU that is 5 times faster, the smartwatch should deliver a significant boost in battery life and offer that incredible charging time that goes from zero to 50% in less than 10 minutes. The first smartwatches with this processor are expected to hit the market during the second half of this year.

Qwen AI Glasses

And in the field of smart glasses, we have the Qwen AI Glasses from the Chinese giant Alibaba. The big promise of this launch at MWC 2026 is to be a rival to the... Ray Ban Meta Display.

The Qwen S1 impresses with its integrated screen directly within the simpler, green-tinted lenses, operating based on the brand's Qwen artificial intelligence models. Despite all the technology, these glasses are extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear, making it impossible to tell they are smart just by their weight.

The glasses are already available on the Chinese market, costing around $536 to $560. The international launch is planned for the end of this year, although the official global price has not yet been confirmed.

AgiBot X2

The humanoid robot AgiBot X2 stole the show at MWC 2026, blending entertainment and serious work. Its agility is breathtaking: it does hip-hop moves, dances, and even performs somersaults and splits in the middle of the fair!

Equipped with advanced AI, LiDAR sensors, and cameras, the X2 navigates its environment autonomously, recognizes faces, responds to gestures, and even converses with people. With a battery life of approximately 2 hours and the ability to return to its charging base on its own, it's science fiction becoming reality, acting as an assistant in the very near future.

And it's already a real product: the manufacturer has started mass production and expansion into Europe, officially selling the robot for 20.700 euros. That's about R$125 in direct conversion, a high price for us, but quite competitive for the corporate robotics market.

Global standardization of 6G

A Huawei used MWC 2026 to announce the start of the global standardization of 6G. The technology emerges from the laboratories with impressive promises, delivering speeds of up to 1 Terabit per second and a latency of almost zero, 0,1 milliseconds.

The big advantage will be the integration with AI, transforming antennas and smartphones into true radars capable of detecting objects and movements in real time. But there's no need to change your device yet: the official 6G standard is only expected to arrive in March 2029, with initial tests being carried out at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Until then, 5G-Advanced continues to be the basis of our connectivity.

The Minister of Communications, Frederico de Siqueira Filho, had a busy schedule in Barcelona focused on securing investments and strengthening our digital infrastructure. Here are the main highlights of the Brazilian agenda at the event:

  • New Submarine Cable: In a meeting with the company V.tal, the 'Synapse' submarine cable project was announced, which will connect Brazil to the United States, starting in São Paulo and passing through capitals in the Northeast and North of Brazil.
  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Centers: Brazil used the event to promote the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Plan, focusing on attracting new data centers to the country. Additionally, there was an exchange of experiences with the Spanish minister regarding the regulation of digital platforms, especially focused on protecting children in the online environment.
  • Unlocking Investments: There were important discussions with the sector (such as TelComp) to consider new modalities and unlock resources from the Telecommunications Services Universalization Fund (FUST), aiming to expand connectivity in the country.
  • Partnerships with Tech Giants: The delegation visited Huawei's booths to learn about new supercomputers and processors focused on AI, and also stopped by ZTE, reinforcing partnerships such as the production of the brand's equipment in Extrema, Minas Gerais.

In summary, the main message was to ensure that Brazil attracts the necessary infrastructure so as not to fall behind in the era of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge connectivity.
