Netflix Games is available starting today; see how to play

After starting to launch its own games, today the netflixgames is finally available within the streaming service's app. The company had announced that it would be offering more than audiovisual content to its subscribers, having already launched some of its own titles, such as Stranger Things 1984 e Stranger Things 3: The game.

And as of today, all subscribers to the platform can now access the games section of Netflix to have fun. As you can imagine, you will need an account with the service to access all of this. But there are other details that you need to pay attention to, see right now.

Netflix Games available within the streaming service's app

Despite being news that we all expected, it is now official: as of today (03), the netflixgames is available to all subscribers of the platform that is responsible for productions such as Stranger Things, Dark, The Witcher and more. Despite the name implying that this is a new application that needs to be downloaded, in fact, this is a section that will be available in the same place where we watch all the series and movies we love.

All you need to do is update the official app from Netflix No. Google Play (for now, the novelty is only available to people who use the operating system developed by Google, users of iPhone will need to wait a little longer) and you will find the section netflixgames. In a press release, the streaming service stated that device owners Apple will receive access to this soon. But a date for this to happen has not yet been set.

What titles are available so far?

All games ever released by the company are within the new section, where the options are expected to increase over time. Recalling that in September of this year, the Netflix acquired the Night School Studio, who was responsible for titles such as Oxenfree (2016) and Afterparty (2019). So far, these are the titles present in the Netflix Games:

• "Stranger Things: 1984” (BonusXP)
• "Stranger Things 3: The Game” (BonusXP)
• "Shooting hoops” (Frosty Pop)
• "Card blast” (Amuzo & Rogue Games)
• "Teeter Up” (Frosty Pop)

We can expect more titles based on the platform's productions to be made available to subscribers, where these five games should entertain people for a considerable time. All games can be found in the netflixgames and be downloaded to a cell phone Android. The company mentioned that the default language of the games is English, but most of the languages ​​available in the series and movies are available in the titles of netflixgames.

Can everyone play?

For now, only device owners Android will be finding the netflixgames in its app, but the company has already stated that yes, people who use iOS will receive the news. Although a day for this to happen has not yet been disclosed. Another important point is that only adult profiles will have access to the titles.

If you have configured a profile to lock by password, this same combination will be requested as soon as you access the Netflix. The same screen limit will apply to the netflixgames: if you go beyond this, you can disconnect who is currently playing so you can have fun. Netflix Games is not a game streaming

It is important to emphasize that the novelty does not work like the Google Stadia or other services that allow their subscribers to play games via the internet. O netflixgames can be set as an option where customers can access a new section of the app and download games. In fact, to be able to enjoy one of the five titles available, it will be necessary to download them and then start playing.

The company has been trying to avoid this, since streaming on devices Apple may have some instability. This also avoids a problem of possible internet outage, since as the game is saved in your phone's memory, it will not be necessary to download any more information. Now, we can only wait to see how the functionality will work in practice, as well as the arrival for iOS devices.
