Today is a good day to be a fan of Nintendo in Brazil – the company officially confirmed the launch of the OLED model of the Nintendo Switch in national territory, with Joy-Con white and one However, white. The product will officially hit stores on September 26.
The price of Nintendo Switch OLED in Brazil
The model was launched abroad in end of last year, and initially arrived in Brazil through unofficial means at prices higher than R$4. Over time, and with interested parties obtaining other options to purchase the console not yet released in the country, the price currently reaches R$ 2,8 thousand.
However, now the Nintendo OLED Switch officially arrives in Brazil at a price of R$ 2.699 – and with the various conditions linked to the country's official trade, such as installment payments and also a guarantee.
With the arrival of the Nintendo Switch – OLED model in the country, Brazilian consumers have one more option available for a console that best adapts to the desired gaming experience.

The console also has some improvements for the overall user experience, such as a LAN cable input on the dock, thus allowing a more stable connection when the console is on the TV, in addition to the obvious superior image quality provided by the console, thanks to its screen. OLED — with games like Metroid Dread taking advantage of the highest quality of colors to present a much more intense and beautiful image, while Super Nintendo classics come to life thanks to color definition.
As we mentioned above, the Nintendo OLED Switch will be available in Brazil from the 26th of September. All the accessories that Nintendo released during the life of the Switch before this model became available, such as Joy-Con, Pro Controller and adapters for controls Gamecube, are compatible with the new console.
How much does the Nintendo Switch OLED cost in the US?
For comparison purposes, the Nintendo OLED Switch it is sold in the US for US$ 350, around R$ 1,8 in the current conversion from the dollar to the real. Considering the costs of importing and also adapting the product to the Brazilian market, the almost thousand reais difference in the official price to the converted price is understandable.
At the same time, we remind you that even though there are ways in the gray market (legal means but that do not have official endorsement by the manufacturer, with the goods being obtained in other ways besides the official supplier) to buy the console, some issues are raised in these acquisitions: absence of warranty, something that the official version of Nintendo will bring to users; prompt delivery, often in national territory, since many of the gray forms of video game acquisition are shipped internationally; and finally, the exclusion of customs taxation chances, since the product, as explained, will be sent within the national territory directly to your home.
Regarding Nintendo OLED Switch sold by stores here in Brazil even before the official announcement of Big N, the difference will also be clear: it is possible that from now on the prices of the console, which are around R$ 2.8 thousand, will fall, since the official price will serve as a ceiling that retailers will have to keep in mind when pricing the product — mainly for reasons such as warranty and support, in addition to the varied installment options available at major retailers, often interest-free.
