Design
Finished in "Black Steel," the chassis combines aluminum for the lid and keyboard with a plastic base, creating a sleek look. The notebook boasts a slim, portable form factor, measuring approximately 2,2 cm thick, and is designed for versatility, allowing for 180-degree opening.
Due to the thin bezels on all four sides, the model has a 90% screen-to-body ratio and expands the viewing area for greater immersion.

The notebook features a 16″ IPS panel with WUXGA resolution (1920×1200), which the company promises displays sharp and vibrant images, even though its resolution is below gaming standards. The screen's 16:10 aspect ratio offers more vertical space compared to traditional 16:9 panels, which is advantageous for content creation and browsing tasks.
One of the display's main highlights is its high 165Hz refresh rate, which ensures extremely smooth and responsive gameplay, especially in fast-paced games. The response time is 3 milliseconds. Additionally, the 300-nit brightness ensures good viewing in a variety of lighting conditions.
Keyboard
The keyboard, nicknamed “Golden Curve", is backlit with RGB in one zone, allowing for color customization, and is designed to be quiet, operating below 30 dB. For easy access to new artificial intelligence tools, the keyboard includes a dedicated Copilot key.
Processor
O Intel Core i7-13620H It's a high-performance laptop processor, released in early 2023 as part of Intel's 13th generation, codenamed "Raptor Lake-H." It's designed to deliver excellent performance for demanding tasks like gaming, content creation, and heavy multitasking.
Its architecture is hybrid, combining different core types to optimize performance and energy efficiency. This processor has 10 cores, 6 of which (P-Cores) are focused on high-priority performance tasks, delivering a maximum turbo frequency of up to 4.90 GHz; the other 4 cores manage background tasks and optimize power consumption. They reach a maximum turbo frequency of up to 3.60 GHz.
GPU
O Gigabyte Gaming A16 stands out for being one of the first notebooks on the Brazilian market equipped with the powerful GeForce RTX 5060 . GPU, NVIDIA. Because of this, the notebook uses the graphics card to offer exclusive RTX technologies, such as DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, capable of increasing the frame rate of games by up to 8 times compared to traditional rendering.
The GPU also features the NVIDIA SLR, a feature designed to reduce system latency, providing more responsive gameplay. In addition to gaming performance, the GPU's power is amplified by other AI tools. NVIDIA such as NVIDIA Studio, which guarantees several audio and video improvements.
Memory and storage
The gaming notebook from Gigabyte arrives in Brazil with support for up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, through two slots. The version sold in Kaboom! It has 16 GB of RAM, so you need to buy more memory separately to get more performance.
Storage doesn't disappoint either: it has 1TB via PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 SSD, but it's possible to add another 3TB due to the limit of up to 4TB available via an additional slot.
Webcam
The webcam can make video calls in FHD (1080p) quality and also features an infrared (IR) sensor that enables facial recognition when unlocking the laptop. This same functionality can also be used for identity confirmation when shopping online and for autofilling passwords.
System and Apps
The model arrives in Brazil with Windows 11 Home with personal assistant support Copilot. A unique feature is the AI assistant named after GiMATEIt can perform actions via voice commands and can be activated by pressing a key near the laptop's power button. The idea is to request tasks such as activating game modes, and it can also optimize the laptop so the battery lasts up to 15% longer than usual.
Connectivity
The notebook has support for WiFi 6E (802.11ax). O WiFi 6E operates not only in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, but also in the 6 GHz band, resulting in much less interference, reduced latency, and higher speeds, which is crucial for online gaming and high-quality streaming.
Complementing wireless connectivity, the model features Bluetooth 5.2This version offers greater energy efficiency, improved connection stability, and better audio quality for peripherals such as wireless headphones, mice, and keyboards.
Battery
O GIGABYTE GAMING A16 It's equipped with a 76Wh battery. According to the manufacturer, this battery offers up to 14 hours of battery life, allowing extended use for tasks such as productivity and entertainment away from the outlet. To power the high-performance components and recharge the battery, the notebook comes with a 150W charger.
Price and availability
The new gaming notebook from Gigabyte is now being sold exclusively at Kaboom!, with official suggested price of R$8.999. The model arrives to be a direct competitor of the Alienware Aurora 16, which has several configurations, including one with RTX 5050 for the same price, but with a newer processor.
