Acer VERO notebooks with recycled material arrive in Brazil

A Acer, in a press event held this Wednesday (20), announced the arrival in Brazil of two new notebooks VERO, a line of computers that seek to reduce the environmental impact of electronics by using completely recyclable material in the manufacture of their housings. We show all the details below.

Acer Aspire VERO AV15-51-583D

The first notebook announced was the Aspire VERO AV15-51-583D, aimed at the public looking for a device for work. It has a processor Core i5 da Intel eleventh generation, integrated graphics intel iris, Windows 11 Home and 15,6” LED Full HD screen.

The device also has among its tools and technologies the Acer Purified Voice, which allows the device's speakers to display sounds clearly, and the noise in calls made by the notebook is reduced, clarifying the user's voice.

The laptop has 8GB of DDR4 RAM, expandable up to 20GB, and 512GB of SSD storage. The battery has an expected life, according to the Acer, seven hours and, according to other products in the VERO, comes in a packaging made from 85% externally recyclable paper, and the internal component that keeps the notebook safe inside the case is made from 100% recycled pulp. The product comes with a laptop bag made of recycled PET material, as well as a support also made of reused materials.

Finally, it also has application support VERO Sense, which allows you to control the device's performance, in addition to having several options for customizing and optimizing the machine so that its energy consumption matches the tasks being performed

Acer TravelMate VERO

The second notebook shown by Acer at the event was the TravelMate VERO, equipped with the processor Intel Core i7 eleventh generation, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of M2 SSD storage with NVMe SSD technology, with a 15,6” Full HD IPS display.

Focused on user safety, the TravelMate VERO also has the software Acer ProShield Plus, designed to protect the device from unauthenticated access and integration with Windows biometric security, reinforcing the protection of files and information stored on the device.

O TravelMate VERO It also has features such as Acer TrueHarmony, Acer Purified Voice and the voice assistant Cortana, from Microsoft, to optimize the experience of users in videoconferencing, becoming a tool aimed at the business market.

Finally, being a product of the VERO line, the housing of the TravelMate It's all made from recycled materials that have been collected from the ocean, and it's also made for high durability, through a thin but sturdy design that, according to Acer, was developed to address potential issues of dynamic work environments — in addition to compatibility with the REAL Sense.

Availability

O Acer Aspire VERO is now available for purchase on the website of Acer. Its price is R$ 7.999, but during the promotional period, it can be ordered for R$ 4.999. The TravelMate VERO The price has not yet been defined, but the forecast is that it will start being sold in Brazil in September — and we emphasize that the production of both devices is taking place in the country.

Furthermore, Acer announced at the event that the plan is that notebook owners VERO can exchange their devices with the company at no additional cost – however, more details about the initiative were not disclosed, with the only warning that more information will be released from September. 

Finally, the Acer also confirmed at the event that all accessories in the line VERO, such as keyboards, bags, mouse, monitors, backpack, bags, wallets and other products that have already been shown in other countries should also arrive in Brazil in the future, but at first, notebooks are the main advertisement.
