New GeForce RTX SUPER graphics cards are announced by NVIDIA

A NVIDIA announced an upgrade to its graphics card portfolio RTX . the new line GeForce RTX SUPER, formed by GPUs RTX GeForce 2060 SUPER, RTX GeForce 2070 SUPER e RTX GeForce 2080 SUPER, focuses on performance, technology Ray Tracing and promise to be up to 24% more powerful than traditional versions.

GeForce RTX SUPER performance

In terms of performance, the NVIDIA ensures that the RTX GeForce 2060 SUPER is up to 22% faster (on average 15%) than RTX 2060 standard, reaching 7+7 TOPs (FP32+INT32) and 57 Tensor TFLOPs, being faster than the GTX 1080. The video card hits the market with 6 GB GDDR 8 RAM, 14 Gbps speed with boost clock up to 1650MHz, and maximum resolution of 7680×4320.

Already RTX GeForce 2070 SUPER is up to 24% faster (on average 16%) than RTX 2070 standard, according to NVIDIA, coming in at 9+9 TOPs (FP32+INT32) and 73 Tensor TFLOPs. It's a little more powerful than the 2060 SUPER with regard to boost clock, which goes up to 1770MHz.

In the case of RTX GeForce 2080 SUPER, NVIDIA did not specify the performance increase compared to RTX 2080 pattern. It is the most powerful of the new GPUs, boosting memory speed to 15.5Gbps and boost clock to 1815MHz. The new graphics card can reach 11+11 TOPs (FP32+INT32) and 89 Tensor TFLOPs, which makes it faster than the GeForce Titan XP.

Price and availability

As Geforce RTX 2060 SUPER e 2070 SUPER will be released on July 9th and the RTX 2080 SUPER comes out on 23 and July. As part of the sale, NVIDIA is also offering a bundle of two free games that take advantage of the technology. Ray Tracing: Control and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Both will be released now in July.

According to NVIDIA, the cards will reach the Brazilian market soon, but there is still no information about price, date and the promotional package with the two games.

Abroad, the NVIDIA kept prices the same as the versions RTX 2070 e RTX 2080 standards. That is, the new GeForce RTX 2070SUPER e RTX 2080 SUPER will cost $499 and $699, respectively. The simplest model, RTX2060 SUPER, will come for $399, about $50 more than the RTX2060 pattern.

With time, the NVIDIA states that Geforce RTX 2070 SUPER and Geforce RTX 2080 SUPER will replace the current standard versions of these cards. The company plans to keep the graphics card RTX 2060 standard as a low-cost option for those who want the benefits of RTX , but don't want to spend more than $400 or $500 on a new GPU.

Recent editions of events Computex e E3 marked the history of Ray Tracing in real time, with a significant number of developers announcing that their next games will have the new technology. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Control, Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, Sword and Fairy 7, Watch Dogs: Legion e Wolfenstein: Youngblood are the latest examples of games that will support ray tracing.
