Samsung brings new update dates for Android 15 with One UI 7. See the list

After stopping the update due to a possible issue that prevented unlocking devices, the Samsung will once again update its smartphones launched last year with the Android 15 via One UI 7 in May, according to the company's Canadian website. See the list and how to update now.

Samsung's Android 15 delay

Two months after the launch of the Galaxy S25, Samsung had to stop the launch of One UI 7 for other devices. The analyst's information IceUniverse, via X, is that, possibly, Galaxy S24 owners South Korea were unable to unlock their devices after switching to Samsung's Android 15. Battery issues and incompatibility were also cited as issues.

One UI 7 news has been taken down in some countries due to the pause in the rollout. The rollout was scheduled to continue today (April 14), with most users receiving the update. Due to battery and app compatibility issues, Samsung has paused the rollout on the S04, Z Fold24, and Z Flip6 series.

In an effort to address the issue, all releases for devices launched last year and in 2023 have been paused until this is resolved. The company has never confirmed why it had to delay updates, but the pause did indeed happen.

Back in Brazil, the Samsung Brazil confirmed, before this problem, that Android 15 would be released for some lines from April 07th, but had to backtrack to resolve the situation. As of the closing of this article, owners of Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24, Galaxy z fold6 and other devices launched in previous years, could not yet use the Android 15.

According to the page of Samsung Canada, smartphones will be updated again from May, without a specific date. The Samsung Brazil has not yet confirmed a specific date for the models launched in Brazil to be updated, but this should happen around the same time. See the update schedule:
