CES 2024: Samsung's new Bespoke Jet Bot Combo vacuum cleaner robot also mops

A Samsung is about to launch the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, a new version of its Jet Bot robot vacuum cleaner, which has not received an update since 2021. The new appliance, which combines vacuuming and floor mopping capabilities, will be presented at CES 2024 and it's the first of its kind — the company already has a separate robot mop, the Jet Bot Mop. Improved Jet Bot line

The price and release date of Bespoke Jet Bot Combo have not yet been revealed by Samsung, but the previous model, the Jet Bot AI Plus, had a value of US$1.300 or R$10.448,96 on the official Brazilian website. The robot's features are still in the development phase and may undergo changes, as stated by the company in its press release. But we already have some clues about what to expect from this new robot vacuum cleaner.

O Bespoke Jet Bot Combo features a circular design and includes robot vacuum and mop features, accompanied by a new charging base called CleanStation. This station not only recharges the robot, but also automatically empties the trash can and cleans the water tank. During this process, the two rotating mops are washed and dried, ensuring efficient and more convenient cleaning for the user.

But the great novelty of the device will be its ability to clean with steam, making heavier cleaning even easier and differentiating the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo from other similar vacuum cleaners. Samsung highlights that this function can be extended to mops when the robot finds dry stains on hard floors, through artificial intelligence. According to the press release, when it detects a stain, the vacuum cleaner returns to the cleaning station, heats the mops using steam and water at high temperature, and then uses its rotating mops at 170 RPM to clean.

The cleaning station provides a 3-step total cleaning system for mops, which includes automatic washing, steam cleaning and automatic hot air drying. After washing the mops with hot water heated by high temperature steam, steam is sprayed on them to prevent odors, enabling more hygienic maintenance.

AI improving home cleaning

Like most high-end robotic vacuums, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo uses AI to improve your ability to navigate indoors. Originated in Jet Bot AI +, the technology of Samsung AI enables the robot to avoid obstacles, meaning it can identify common household items and move around them as needed.

The Combo has improved object recognition and, according to the brand, is capable of identifying more household items compared to its predecessor. Furthermore, it demonstrates the ability to recognize different spaces in the home and detect stains on the floor. The addition of a new 3D sensor provides even more accurate navigation.

The robot's intelligence also extends to adapting to different types of floors. A feature called AI Floor Detect makes it possible to distinguish between hard floors and carpets, allowing the robot to decide whether to raise the mops to move over carpets or return to the base to remove them before starting to vacuum carpets.

Samsung has not yet released detailed specifications for the vacuum cleaner, such as operating time, battery capacity, rotating brush type, dust collection container size, water tank capacity, or whether the vacuum cleaner has a built-in camera, similar to the Jet Bot AI Plus.
