The time to return to the polls for the second round is approaching, and on the last weekend of October 2022, all Brazilians are summoned to participate in the elections that will elect our representatives for the next four years.

What is the order of candidates when voting?

The second round of the 2022 elections takes place on October 30, across Brazil for President of the Republic, and in states that did not elect their governors in the 1st round. The voting order is:

1- Governor (in states where there is a second round for the position);
2- President of the Republic.

What is the voting time?

All persons with the title of regularized voter may attend the electoral college from 08:17 am to 06:15 pm Brasília time. For those who live in Acre, the process will be from 10 am to XNUMX pm following local time. Can you vote with just the e-Title?

Yes, but a photo must be registered in the TSE database to use only this document when voting. In addition, it is necessary to download and issue the e-Title (Android e iPhone) until 23:59 on the 1th of October. If your registration does not have a profile photo, it is necessary to present another document with photoas the RG, passport, CNH or even passport. Army reservist cards are also valid.

Can you vote with your work card?

Any and all photo documents that prove identity on election day can be used as a substitute for physical voter registration. The TSE website mentions that in addition to Work Portfolio, it is possible to use the RG, social identity, passport, professional card recognized by law, reservist certificate and the national driver's license (CNH).

Can you bring your cell phone to vote?

The cell phone can be taken to the polling station — allowing users to use the e-Title for voter identification. Can I wear my candidate's or party's shirt?

T-shirts with characteristic colors of electoral parties will not be prohibited. However, collective demonstrations are not allowed on election day.

Can you deliver a holy card on election day?

Can I vote anywhere?

Actually not. All voters have a polling place previously defined by the Electoral Justice, with the possibility of voting in another city only for voters who requested the vote in transit until August 30th. If you are not at your electoral domicile and have not requested to vote in transit, it will not be possible to exercise your right to be a citizen on Election Day 2022, and you will need to provide the electoral justification through the e-Título or at any polling station.

How can I vote on the go

Voting in transit is an alternative to TSE for those who will not be in the electoral college city due to travel or any other event scheduled for October 02nd or 30th, 2022. The request for voting in transit was closed on August 30th and on election day week , it is not possible to request the change.

If you requested to vote in transit and want to check your provisional polling location, just download the e-Título app (Android e iPhone) until the 1st of October, and then click on the where to vote.

A message will appear alerting you that your polling location has changed and simply click see new location. The address of the current polling place and the original polling place, described as “electoral domicile“ will appear on the other screen.

Then, simply present the document the same way you would in the original voting city.

Where can I find election results?

In addition to complete coverage on open TV and internet channels, the application Results, developed by the Brazilian Electoral Justice, will show the real-time result of the dispute for the vacancy of President of the Republic and other positions disputed on election day 2022.

Is voting mandatory?

All Brazilian men and women over 18 years of age are forced to vote, and non-compliance with this rule can bring some restrictions to take the identity card or passport, as well as registering in public contests and even opening an enrollment in public universities is prohibited.

Is it allowed to carry firearms?

In a response to Deputy Alencar Santana, the TSE stressed that firearms are prohibited within 100 meters of the election. The rule is valid for 48 hours before election day and 24 hours after everyone has gone to the polls.

O Electoral Code also mentions that “members of the Navy, Army and Air Force, Federal, Civil and Military Police, as well as members of any armed corporation, are prohibited from approaching polling stations carrying weapons, unless summoned by the president of the polling station or by the electoral authority”.

Can I take my baby to the urn?

There is no rule of TSE that prevents parents from taking children to the voting booth, but, at the same time, this practice is not recommended because the noise of the ballot box ends up attracting the attention of the little ones and ending up disturbing the voting moment. It is worth remembering that according to article 14 of the Federal Constitution, the vote is secret and direct.

What are valid votes and useful votes?

Valid votes is the denomination of all votes registered on election day, excluding null/blank votes. It is with these numbers that the result of an election is defined.

Already talking about useful votes, this is the name of the practice focused on giving the vote to a candidate who is ahead in the polls of voting intention, causing him/her to be elected in the first round or advance to the second round.

When does the second round take place?

If it is necessary to hold a second round to choose a new governor and President of the Republic, October 30th was defined by the TSE. Positions of State and Federal Deputy and Senator have their results defined as early as October 01st.

Can I vote online?

It is not possible to vote online. Therefore, if you are unable to vote on October 01st, you can justify using the app. e-Title or in person.
