What is most important to consider in smartphone camera? If your answer is the number of megapixels, then the manufacturers' marketing certainly carries more weight to you than it probably should. A fact is that the number of megapixels of a camera is related to the details that can be observed and used with the zoom that can be given to the image. But there are several other factors in smartphone cameras that need to be taken into account when looking for a higher quality photo, in addition to the number of megapixels. This explains the fact that many prefer the cameras of the iPhones to several years.

In the meantime, several top-of-the-line smartphones that run Android has rivaled the iPhone, having had significant improvements in camera quality, with improvements in images in general, in addition to the user experience. With that, the question remains: what really matters in a smartphone camera?

Marques Brownlee, a YouTuber known for his gadget reviews, released a video on his channel last November 12, where he explains the main features of a camera: the size of the pixels, sensor quality and aperture, factors that impact camera performance and the outcome of your photos. Electronic and optical image stabilization are also items to consider. Last but not least is the camera software, which can make or break photos and videos, in addition to the overall user experience.

In his conclusion, Brownlee points out that, in the end, it's all about how you enjoy your smartphone's camera, and whether you like the images and videos you take with it. This video is worth checking out:

Do you agree with Marques Brownlee's opinion? No? What are the reasons? Put it in the comments!
