Samsung launches in Brazil the Odyssey Ark, 55″ curved smart gaming monitor

A BGS 2022 (Brazil Game Show) started yesterday, October 6th, and has arrived full of news for the world of games! One of them is the new curved gaming monitor from Samsung, Odyssey Ark. Introducing itself as the first in its class with 1000R curvature and 55 inches, this new screen promises to deliver more immersive sessions of fun. Just take a look.

Featuring a large 55-inch screen, the Odyssey Ark offers a feature that is quite advantageous for gamers: field of view. And not only big, its 1000R curvature also helps a lot in this regard. The Quantum Mini LED display offers more depth and quality to images. The monitor still has Sound Dome technology, capable of playing surround sound for even more immersive experiences.

Another feature focused on the gamer world is the refresh rate, which here is 165 Hz, in addition to the 1ms response time and also FreeSync Premium Pro. The screen can move so that it is positioned in vertical or horizontal orientation, called Cockpit mode, both of which are very well used by gamers.

The Quantum Mini LED here is combined with the technology Quantum Matrix, which creates controlled brightness and contrast, offering a more refined definition of content. And with the 14-bit backlight, the monitor still manages to have finer control of HDR. With the Neural Quantum Processor Ultra, the Odyssey Ark is capable of combining at least 20 multilayer neural networks, and with the AI-Powered processor, which intelligently provides image restoration pixel by pixel.

There is also automatic brightness adjustment and contrast amplification, for a better resolution, according to the content watched by the user. The contrast ratio here is 1.000.000:1 and offers better depth and color expression. It's the HDR 10 + is another feature present that helps even more those more competitive players. Finally, the matte canvas is also included, preventing natural or artificial light from being reflected on the screen.

Samsung's newest gaming monitor also features speakers, further enhancing users' gaming experience. are included 4 speakers in the corners and still 2 woofers in the central part of the device, that is, a system with 60 Watts of power in 2.2.2 channels. Audio technologies are the Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Booster, which deliver three-dimensional sound directly from the screen.

As part of the Samsung family of devices, the Odyssey Ark also brings the Samsung gaming hub, able to concentrate the best of the gaming world in one place, without the need for downloads or connection to other consoles. O Samsung TVPlus is another service available on the monitor, capable of offering free and live content, with no need for subscriptions, including personalized content and recommendations from the Universal Guide.

And finishing off the added features, there's also a solar powered remote control. Here the monitor leaves the player in full control of the device, offering simple and quick access to various functions that the monitor can offer. Among some available are the FlexMove, allowing you to change the screen size, adjust the ratio or even change its position; another is the MultiView, which lets the user separate up to 4 different contents on the same screen; others are also the Quick Settings e Game bar, which check and control different game settings.

The Odyssey Ark curved gaming monitor is now available for pre-order on Samsung's official website for R$ 21.499, and soon in the main national retailers. Those who buy the device from October 6th to October 31st, can still receive a gamer kit, which includes a headset, mouse, mousepad and keyboard, being possible to redeem it through the Samsung For You program between November 1st and 15th. from December.
