OpenAI launches ChatGPT Pro plan, with access to o1 pro mode for complex problem solving

As the first batch of announcements from twelve days of event that OpenAI prepared, today was the day to find out details about the new plan ChatGPT Pro, which will bring even more performance power to artificial intelligence, which is increasingly present today. A new mode that can understand and send results on science-related subjects was also presented. See the details right now.

In short, the idea of o1 pro mode do ChatGPT is that the personal assistant is more intelligent when it needs to deal with complex matters, involving chemistry, mathematics or physics, for example.

During the broadcast on the company's YouTube channel, which lasted no more than fifteen minutes, experts also mentioned that the o1 pro mode, compared to the o1-preview, is a faster, more powerful, and more accurate model, and is better at coding and math. Scientists and researchers can also submit a photo and explanatory text to receive personalized responses.

The new mode also allows you to create criteria that will be considered before responses are sent. When this is done, it will take longer to receive responses — however, in the test carried out today, it took just 10 seconds for quite complete responses to be sent. A OpenAI promises that the new language model of ChatGPT has been trained to be more concise, which should result in faster response times than o1-preview. In the future, the company also plans to implement web browsing, file uploading and even more features, however, a specific date for this to happen has not yet been set.

New ChatGPT Pro plan

To access the new language model ChatGPT, you will need to subscribe to the new plan, which costs a mere US$ 200 per month (R$ 1198,88 in direct conversion). In addition to access to o1 pro mode, the new plan covers the OpenAI o1, GPT-4o and the mode Advanced Voice.

Despite the new feature defined today, everyone can still take advantage of the plan. Chat GPT Plus, which costs $20 and includes early access to new features and all of the company's models (except for the o1 pro, which is exclusive to Chat GPT Pro). Availability

The new plan can be signed from today, now on the OpenAI page. The new mode is initially available to subscribers of Chat GPT Plus e teams starting today (05). Users of the plans Enterprise e Edu will have access to it from next week, but there is still no set date for this to happen.

With a focus on encouraging more researchers to use the o1 pro mode, OpenAI announced a subsidy plan that will grant 10 subscriptions to the plan ChatGPT Pro to medical researchers at “leading institutions” (company definition). There are plans to expand the reach to more disciplines in the future.
